Customer has rung up with one of these (probably the last receiver I installed with 'real' actuator control on the rear).
He has been watching German channels as of late and the receiver has 'locked' onto one of these. He has not set any form of channel or parental lock (I know the master password as I set it years ago).
Both the remote and the front panel channel buttons refuse to do anything, but everything else works, power/volume etc.
Can anyone cast their mind back to a decade ago and recall if there was anything that would stop these receivers from freezing on one channel ?
I remember some other boxes might throw a wobbly when tuning into specific channels (mainly Turkish or ones with weird symbol rates) but not a standard transponder on Astra 1.
