A couple of posts removed.

OK lets make this completely clear. Last warning.

If this thread continues to attract undesirable requests I will move it off the public part of the forum and restrict its access. We are extremely lucky that Feedsat_DXer is willing to share with us images of what this fantastic bit of kit can do. If you want to continue to see what Feedsat_DXer has spotted then please be sensible in your posts!

Many thanks.

I am late joining the party but I have managed to get a ticket so here I am with my humble offerings.

I managed to lock the NS3 signal on 11387 V from 10.0 East with an NS2000 demodulator. There is nothing new about the 11387V signal from 10.0E, it has been documented in this topic previously. However on this occasion a PC internal ASI card has been used to capture the signal for use in TransEdit and DVB Dream.

As the signal coming from the NS2000 has predefined parameters for frequency and symbol rate and an ASI capture card is being used, DVB Dream creates an "ASI capture satellite" when opened up and auto scans the incoming signal.

As this topic has required moderation in the past I thought to ask "Feedsat" if the content of my pictures were OK to upload. The feedback I received was that they were OK for posting. My thanks go to Feedsat for reviewing them.

@andreas

Yes sure, it is the TBS690A card with 4 ASI inputs.

If you look at the top menu line in the TransEdit and DVB Dream pictures I uploaded in my post above you can see it refers to the TBS ASI Capture device using Input Port 0. The 4 x input ports on the TBS690A card are numbered 0, 1, 2 and 3.

Congratulations @moonbase for the success of this NS3/4 transponder even with a tbs card :-clap Note that you do not post also symbol rates to this transponder just like those who succeeded. If I don't exaggerate,I ask myself the question, maybe misplaced, why is this secrecy for this parameter?
Am I wrong?
Anyway this parameter is not found by blindscan, because a tbs card does not find a parameter,so to speak,NS3/4 with Crazyscan or any dvb app! It's true that I don't have an DVS-ASI card.

Are you referring to the Null Packets?

I am using a DRO LNB and not a PLL LNB so it may have a bearing on it? I did notice the Line Monitor Channel 1 status occasionally switching to Unlocked for a brief period then returning to Locked for an extended period. I have an SMW PLL LNB that I might try to see if there is any change.

Is the Altronica ASI better than the TBS?

I have only recently started to use both the Alitronika and the TBS ASI card so have limited experience in their functionality. At this early stage I am probably not really in a position to say if one is better than the other. However, I have listed a few points below on their comparative functionality that might be useful?

The Alitronika has an ASI loop through port which the TBS card does not. As the NS2000 has only two ASI outputs, the option to loop out from the Alitronika is useful as it increases the connectivity to the NS2000. For PC connectivity, the Alitronika connects via a USB2 port.

The TBS card is recognised by DVB Dream and I have also managed to get it to work with DVB Viewer, EBS Pro, TransEdit and TSReader. I am not sure if the Alitronika is recognised by DVB Dream but it can certainly output to TransEdit, TSReader and VLC as can be seen by the many pictures "Feedsat" has kindly posted in this topic.
