For anyone interested there is a "Autoget m3u" URL for TDT Spanish channels which includes some National channels and many Regional TV Channels.

Aren’t they geoblocked?
the commercial stations are for sure geoblocked. The regional probably will work.

Even if so there are many cheap vpn's now and numerous alternatives to watch just about any channel. it seems almost all channels are via iptv these days

Bugs with V10526:

1. Signal goes dead after scanning a transponder
2. When viewing a channel with AC3 audio then scanning and returning to that channel, there is a loud beep before the picture shows.
3. Volume control doesn't on a channel with AC3 audio, only mute works
4. The sound is behind the picture on all channels by 0.10 of a second

No I have been using V10526 since it was released no issues here,
SX88+ / SX88+ Plus OPTIMA.
Signal goes dead after scanning a transponder has been so with some earlier upgrades not a problem just come out of the menu then view,
Then go back in the menu to view all active transponders,

I have one complaint re the database on all my other receivers including the Amiko A4K the transponders are in sequence in the database after a Blind Scan,
When I am upgrading a satellite on the Octagon SX88+ ect I have to search through the database when making comparisons with other satellite charts to make sure the database is up to date,
If the Octagon SX88+ was to keep transponders in sequence it would be much easier to do this.

W.r.t. f/w V10526: everything appeared OK on the lounge SX88+ whilst I used USALS to control the Gibby, but, then, today, I confirmed what I had suspected for sometime, i.e. that the alternative RF-controlled antenna relay connection to the 16-1 DiSEqC switch wasn't working at all! - whereas it had done that very well before that update.

It was only after a lot of "fault finding" with the connections in the lounge system that I realised that the problem was definitely down to the SX88+! Then, and only after quite a bit more "investigation", I finally realised that that last f/w update appeared to have reset all of the (about a dozen!) sat's DiSEqC 1.1 settings to "OFF" .

So, re-entering the appropriate DiSEqC 1.1 Port numbers for each of those "missing" sats then allowed me to access all but one of those sats - only 19E on the old TD78 was/is still "missing", and I think that problem relates to the dish/LNB itself, and may be caused by all the tomato plants growing all over it!

Thus, my current "conclusion" is that the latest f/w update reset all the sat DiSEqC 1.1 settings to "OFF" (because I most certainly did not do that!) - but without affecting the parallel USALS settings for the same sats when I'm using the Gibby on it's motor

Edited: anyone have any idea of what else might have resulted in the above, because I don't!

Doesn't the 4k version of this receiver have DiSEqC 1.1 problems... perhaps whatever may have been done in an attempt to fix them required the settings to be reset.

That was apparently reported sometime ago, but my SX88+ is definitely NOT the 4k version - thus this issue might NOT be related just to the 4K version

There's always been something not quite right with the DiSEqC 1.1 on this family of receivers. I think my first thread here was about DiSEqC 1.1 problems on a Primo, which persists on every version of Primo firmware available. Who knows, maybe whoever writes the base firmware had a stab at fixing that issue. Not that we're ever likely to get any more updates from Edision... at least Octagon is still pumping out updates.

On reflection, I now have the "feeling" that the DiSEqC 1.1 reset issue may actually have been caused by a much earlier f/w update, and thus not by V10526 - it's just that only yesterday did I take the time to identify what had actually happened.

Yes I mentioned it in my previous post, the solution is to report the problem to Octagon or fiddle with your tv's settings (if you use your tv for other uses such as watching dvd's, games console, terrestrial tv then your sound will be out of sync with these if you change your settings).

Thats weird. Cant get RTE here, but will be tricky for German engineers as they wont be able to receive it either.

My TV cant adjust sound sync so I'll email Octagon.

Issue is all AC3 channels not just RTE, for example Cinemax HD 10719 V 27500 13e Hotbird would produce a loud beep when viewed.

Just had a "fiddle" with my LG 74 UM 7500 PLA TV, and then the Denon AVX 2500 AV amp, with the SX88+ receiving the Swiss channels on Eutelsat 9B at 9E.

Can't seem to do any sync corrections on the TV, whereas the amp does have sync correction - but that's a "blanket" setting across all the HDMI inputs, and and thus adjusting the sync for the channels with AC3 sound from the SX88 via its HDMI i/p would screw up the sound sync on the other 6 HDMI i/p's !

Therefore it has to be down to @Octagon-Germany to fix this sound sync issue!

No answer from Octagon - I suppose I have to return the SX88+ as I cant watch HD channels on it. Shame as its good on SD
