Hi I have the 28.2east channels on the box, is there a way of getting hotbird and other satellites loaded on the box. I have a motorised dish

Somewhere in England (possibly?)!
I bought one (along with several other cheap boxes) several years ago as an "experiment", and got it driving the steerable dish at that time (TD110 on a Superior Dark Motor) without too much effort.

Can't remember exactly what I did do with this box, but I certainly got it to drive that dish to whichever sat I wanted to receive via the Installation menu - the setup was somewhat different to the other boxes, but then every sat box is "different" unless you get ones of the same brand and generation.

However, in the end I put those experimental boxes on one side and reduced my active box count to just the SX88 & TM5402 M3 because I'd "had my fun", and couldn't be bothered to deal with the slightly different ways the various boxes got roughly the same results.

Then if that has worked:
Go back to the satellite list, press 1 to set all satellites to USALS, then scroll to any satellite you want and press OK to tick it. Then press 4 to scan that satellite. Or press 5 to scan all ticked satellites.

A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

I've not seen a V8S on my travels, but if it is anything like the V7 or the V9 then steering and tuning in channels should not cause problems, if the dish is large enough for the particular satellite footprint.

Sounds like a 'gift' setup... in which case we can't/won't help with that.

If you are referring to a WiFi dongle, then, No, it's not a "gift" but merely a small plug-in USB dongle that adds Wifi to a receiver that only has an RJ45 Ethernet connector, and widely available on ebay and the main sat dealers - I got several (including an Octogon-branded one) when I was playing around with various cheap receivers and didn't have enough RJ45 ports on the adjacent switch.

FWIW, some support higher WiFi speeds than others - apart from that they all work pretty much the same, and are automatically recognised by the receivers, but you then have to enter the network password in the relevant part of the installation menus (not that easy/quick using just the buttons on the R/C's!).

Probably was when first purchased, but now overtaken by events!
