I received my new Sat meter the other day all is well but every time you use it you have to put in all the settings again like what Satellite . I turn the meter off to save battery power but when you turn the meter back on again all your settings have gone is there a save functions on this meter or do I have to re do all the settings again . I always set my system up on Ku-Astra / SES 5 so would be nice to save the settings as it starts up every time on HISPASAT .

That screen looks almost exactly the same as the iBravebox I have here.

Thanks for the feed back guys not had a Satlink meter before so its a case of asking others . But you may be right Jeallen01 it all seems to work but seems strange if you turn the power off to save battery power then after a few minutes later you have to click all the way down to the satellite again which is a pain when your senting up your feed . Any one know who the UK importer is as they would know .Because to be honest with you its faster with the old satlook than the satlink ws-7009se.

Yes CH there seems to be many meters using the same display .

If you bought it within two years then SatLink should be providing all the after market service to keep the box up to date.

Gratis of course.

Or you might ask the manufacturer to step in.

Rights / distance selling / trading standards and all that

Get a name of the person/ office that sold you the unit, post here.

My ibravebox/dymyco hybrid* does that jumping back to the "wrong satellite" thing - as far as I can tell it jumps back to the last satellite you have displayed a channel on (not just the tp = an actuial channel) for some bizarre reason.

*=Branded dymyco & flashed with ibravebox firmware to update it. Its still a crap meter even after the update. :-rofl2

Do you actualy make a channel search on hispasat and store one or more channels ?
If it is the first on the list , the meter should start up with hispasat data .

What about this topic ???????????????????

Hi Trust yes when you first go into the menu on the meter it goes into Hispasat so if it does not save you need to come all the way back down to Astra 4 A / Sirius2_3 the update on the satlink ws-7009se is if I scan that I am on it will save the satellite " In my case Astra 4 A / Sirius2_3 " it will save if you dont scan then it wont save . The firmware fitted in this meter is way out of date and dates back to Oct 2014 they did bring out a 2019 vers so I am assuming you down load onto a USB stick then load into the meter but I have found nothing in the manual so I think thats how you update it . Yes when you first go into the menu on the meter it goes into Hispasat so if it does not save you need to come all the way back down to Astra 4 A / Sirius2_3 which is a pain .

Back to the Ku bend in the end I did not use one and bolted staight onto the corotor . Same for the C band LNB no bend used .

Have you any scan results from your dish to post onto the forum? There were many pages of replies to your topics spread across the forum, it would be nice for those who tried to help you to know if you have any scan results from the dish.

Hi MB sorry as soon as its all up and running I will be doing a full list of what I can receive on a 3.7m but as you know from before NOTHING round here is straight forward as the new satlink ws-7009se meter I got from the states has problems , for starters its not new things are missing and , The battery charger dont work , The firmware is Oct 2014 and the list goes on . The screen has very deep scratchs The battery charger I have found one that will do the job . The meter is working now and just Negotiation with the company in the states the size of refund since if its sent back it could be 6 -8 weeks before a replacement gets here. When its running I will take some pictures of Ku + C Band . I can see from about 55 west to about 70 east . So shoul give people some idea of what to except from a larger dish .

Can anyone confirm or check if there is a biss/cw menu on this? I have a old 6906 which you can access the menu by entering a code but i'm after a new handheld that does dvb s2. Hoping one of the other satlink receivers work in the same way
