All FTA again.

Not seen Góly Body Sekundy (the sport news) on STV1 since the Skylink Slovak channels were on 28.5E all those years ago (where the STV channels went FTA for the news.)

Presenter complete with face mask due to the current situation!

Oh I'm not sure actually! I only saw it marked as FTA on Flysat today and scanned them all in then.

The picture quality is really grotty on them, the 'HD' channels turn into a mass of pixels whenever there's any movement!

Im wondering if the service is winding down due to lack of subscribers. 30W is an odd slot for subscribers as far east as Czech Republic & Slovakia. A change of satellite mid year from Belintersat To Hispasat wont have helped either.

I’ve been watching Eurosport 1 and 2 for the last couple of weeks and I didn’t notice any encryption so far.
I am wondering how long this will last!

All three muxes still present here but removed of all programmes [April 18]. Best to look at 51.5E for these channels now.

This decoding was done as a gesture of kindness and help to those who are at home, in order to comply with the rules imposed by the medical authorities, because of this very dangerous disease, because, what could a person in the house do these days, to read or watch TV.
This situation will last until the end of this pandemic, that is at least 3-4 months.

Appears you were right. Wonder why they even went to 30w in the first place. Dishes would have to be pointed quite low so more chance of obstruction, right?

I picked up these channels in Spain on a dish for their Freesat equivalent. Quite interesting - unusually for a small country they dub everything. Almost nothing was subtitled and no original audio track available on any channel.

some info here [translated] "* In June 2018, the platform operator decided to take an unexpected move - moving the service to 30 ° W, where he rented six 36 MHz transponders in one band and in one polarization. This strategy was intended to allow the reception of multiple programs simultaneously within one household on a single cable, and also to receive programs on receivers that had difficulty decoding high data rates "

I wonder if this service was really aimed at Czech expats as Hispasat covers western europe pretty well (the operator could obviously never admit this)
