Tricolor on 36E - no chance

40E C-band - possiblly although as its T2-MI you will need something that will do multistream

Doesn't need to be multistream - any E2 receiver with appropriate software loaded will work. There's a long how to on this forum.

How good do you asess canal plus France against these? at least almost every film is available in English or its original language...when the Slavic ones still dub-over films, which to me seems llke a terrible nuisance...
the question could be,which has a better cost/service ratio , Sky or Canal plus?
And the Dutches have Joyne,is it worth attention?

I think Canal Plus France has the best programming. If I could subscribe then I would, unfortunately it is not available anywhere else except France and perhaps other French speaking countries in North Africa (morocco and Algeria?).
Joyne comes nowhere near Canal Digitaal NL. The channels are mainly for Dutch speaking as far as I can see from the TV channels in it's packages.
Welkom bij JOYNE
Canal Digitaal | TV via Satelliet en Internet | Thuis en op vakantie
Canal Digitaal NL allows legal subscription for orders made from most of European countries. They have an online form to fill in with the address and IBAN bank account.
cost / service ratio is largely dependent on if you can get a legal subscription or buy it from 3rd parties and they charge a lot extra for their service.

I didn't say that. I am not familiar with Sky UK at all, but if you are living in France and can get a subscription to Canal Plus France, then it is only natural that you subscribe with them.
Good luck.

For me, the best package has always been Scandinavian Canal Digital. They have a lot of good programming and all of it is in English (if available).

Sky UK is decent too if you pay the full whack... but it's a big dent to your wallet.

I think it will help if we know what you are interested to watch.
From your original post you mentioned films so you are probably looking for a subscription with plenty of movies and TV series channels, but perhaps you are interested also in sports and documentaries etc.
I think The Polish nc+ has a lot to offer in their premium subscription which includes HBO.
You can test drive their offers for 30 days (doesn't include HBO) and see if it is satisfactory.

or go for the 12 months option without contract including HBO

If your TV has CI+ certified, then yes you can order the CI+ Cam module
This is for the default Start+ for one month
https://satsklep.pl/en_US/p/NC-Telewizja-Na-Karte-with-package-Start-for-1-12-months/15783
But if you are sure you want to commit to 12 months, then yes go ahead and chose any package from this link

Yeah they have CI+ CAMs available. So if your TV takes a CI+ CAM then you're good to go.

See whilst we're on the subject of subs, is/has there something happened with Viasat? Lots of receivers, some used some brand new for sale on eBay. The Nordic pack on 4.8E was well sought after when they had the Premier League rights but you needed a 1.1/1.2 metre dish up here for the pay TV transponders that done the PL ect.

P.S. It's like people are selling the Viasat stuff on because it's redundant.
