Well it is now 9 hours since you posted and I am the first to reply. We are a friendly bunch here but can only reply with positive answers when we are given sufficient information to be able to do that.
The UK is a big place, you are probably talking fringe reception on this channel. So where in the UK are you?

Do we assume you mean Rik Sat on Hellas if you do they still transmit on two frequencies from two different beams?
You give the details

Reception Freq: 11146MHz V SR 3333 Ksyb/s FEC 3/4

Perhaps your stb cannot receive using such a low SR on the new frequency but we cannot comment since you do not tell us what stb you have.

12606 H SR
30000 FEC 5/6 is the other beam but this appears more reliant on a larger dish which again you do not tell us what size dish you are using but the S2 beam in the UK appears to require in the region of 2.5 to 3mtr diameter

Dish wise, beams F1 and F2 can easily be received in the UK with as little as a 60cm.

Rik Sat receivable here on new frequency of 11.146v tagged as 'RikSat'
Cyprus Sat (Rik) on old freq of 12.606h is off air.

Flysat shows 12606 H SR 30000 FEC 5/6 as still transmitting

Yes but Riksat is also transmitted on S2 beam frequency now showing on lyngsat as 11547 H 2933-3/4 which would require 2.5 - 3.0mtr dish

Well,my sister in UK emailed me sayimg my Mum(also in UK) had lost PIK on Hellas and asked if I can tell her if I know how to retune,but the website has one frequency in English,and another frequency in the Greek version.
I am waiting for her to call me so I can try and run through the tuning over the phone.

Have you scanned the frequency suggested by SM?

Ok I have it working now, putting in the parameters etc.

However the signal is intermitant. Seems to be a weak signal or the low S/R is causing a problem.

It is a flawless day outside hence why i may have picked the channel up and on other occasions wasnt able to.

ANy advice on this?

Maybe a slight dish alignment issue of course.

Hi,

I have a similar problem and so do all those who live in my area. The weak or nor signal from Rik Sat began a few weeks ago. Many of us thought this may have been because of advers weather conditions, but the problem persists regardless. We were asked to retune from Hotbird (13E) to Hellas Sat2 (39E) late last year and it was all working finer until now. All the other Greek tv FTA channels are ok but there is a difference in satellite details to Rik Sat.
For example ERT (from Greece) and the other Greek channels has the following:

Transponder = 12606/H/3000/7/8
LNB Frequency = Universal
LNB Power = 13V/18V
22KHZ = Auto

Rik Sat (a Greek channel from Cyprus)

Transponder = 11146/V/3333/Auto
LNB Frequency = Universal
LNB Power = 13V/18V
22khzz = Auto

What is the solution? Can it be be fixed/retubed via the receiver. ? Does the dish have to re-alligned? Is it a problem for the channel and or satellite provider? Any help in the right direction much appreciated.

As a final note, I am unsuere of the size and spec of my dish but can say that it is not 2.5 - 3m.

Thanks

Welcome to the forum.

There a fair bit of info in the above posts. I've had a few mis-alignments causing problems on this transponder using a low s/rate. I'd suggest that would be the first point of call. Testing the with another receiver may also be an idea.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply and apologies for the spelling.
Thing is Rik Sat was working ok after the re-tune to Hellas Sat 2. And other friends are experiencing the same thing who have different receivers.
By re-alligning I guess it means getting a sat man around to fix it.

Ta

Possible or you could try, test and experiment yourself. Springing the dish whilst monitoring the transponder to see if there's any improvement would be the simplest solution :)
