Hi,

I have for sale a Precision 2.0m motorised dish setup with accessories.

The dish comes with an original Precision galvanised ground stand and triangular frame polar mount which are both in excellent condition.
Also included is a mobile platform that the dish is currently mounted on. The platform allows the setup to be moved to various locations on a property to maximise satellite line of sight opportunity.
In addition, as the platform is mobile it is not classed as a fixed structure.

The motorised setup can also be installed on the ground with suitable anchorage if the mobile platform is not used.

Other equipment included is:

Set of original Precision feed support arms
Original Precision Ku-Band feed and C120 waveguide interface
Set of adjustable stainless steel feed support arms custom made for the dish by forum member "Rima"
Stainless steel C-Band feed holder including split collar to accept 40mm neck Ku-Band LNB and a laser pointer holder to assist in peak alignment of the feed (all made by "Rima")
Geotrack 24" actuator (decent quality, better than the cheap Chinese stuff)
v-Box motor controller
Twin probe Universal Ku-Band LNB
Twin probe C-Band LNBF (3400-4200 MHz)

The setup is only for sale due to a need to make space for an alternative dish setup that requires a larger mobile platform.
I have attached some pictures below.

Not wishing to rain on your parade, Jaeger (Geotrack ) actuators were manufactured just outside Shanghai, Pinghu.

For any interested parties, I will swap the Geotrack actuator out for an original Superjack 24" QARL model, the heavy duty version. I have a brand new and boxed one here that can be included instead of the Geotrack.
I could include a UK manufactured Renold goliath actuator but I think it might be overkill for a small dish.

I would be guessing at the reflector weight, possibly 20kg but that really is a wild guess.
It is a very easy lift for two people, probably a struggle for one person, not principally due to the weight but more to the unwieldy nature of its size.

To get it on and off the mount I have sometimes used a ladder across two chairs with the lowest point of the reflector bottom rim resting between the ladder rungs and wrapped in pipe insulating foam.
We used the same technique with a ladder when removing the Precision Antennas 2.8m reflectors from their mounts at the S4C site in Cardiff.

I'm very interested but I wonder about the weight since I had a 1.8m Channel Master and it was very heavy and almost impossible to mount by myself or put on top of an extension roof.

I have the same dish here (but with the superior IRTE backplate which gives horizon to horizon coverage on a single 36inch actuator). I was able to drag the reflector up a two storey building without assistance, which I would have struggled to do with the Channel Master. I would concur it to be around 15-18 kgs, unlikely to be much more unless wet, painted or covered in algae.

I had a Channel Master 1.8m dish here in storage once and it was quite a bit heavier than this Precision Antennas 2.0m dish.

The reflector mounting system used by Precision was three boss heads in the rear mounting ring. On the 2.0m dish they accept M10 bolts.
I can provide three M10 steel eye bolts that can be placed in the mounting ring and used to pass rope through them for lifting.

For some reason I had the figure of 15kg in my mind as the weight of the reflector. I am not sure if I got that weight from Elite or Precision.
However, as I have no definitive proof that 15kg is the reflector weight it was safer to say that 20kg was a wild guess.

Still Chinese, and from the same Shanghai outlet, but that is no bad thing. QARLs are cloned en masse, the colour of the finish ( plus the type of box they come in) are a clue as to the origin.

I weighed my CM 1.8m once upon a time - it was 37kg just for the reflector. Very awkward to handle on your own - not impossible but two people are very preferable. I used the wife to help get the dish up on the mount.

It there any purpose to your constant trashing of my for sale topic?
Every single post you have made in it so far has either been to refer to Chinese manfactured goods I am selling or advance the merit of those IRTE meccano mounts.

Considering I purchased this Superjack QARL direct from Rob at DRS Trading 19 years ago I think I have confidence in its provenance as not being a clone
It has remained unused in the original box since purchase.

Not every one

I'm more concerned that thread watchers will go away thinking the actuators you have are in some way substandard based on the opening post. Geotrack and Superjack are Jaeger Industry brands, each with their own merits, both Chinese in origin.

Superior IRTE backplate????

The current reflector, as was the previous 1.8 and 1.5m reflectors have been used with the same IRTE backplate on the roof for the best part of 20 years. It is not the 50cm version as imaged in the other thread, but consists of the same bearing assembly with a dual crossbar attachment that normally 'cradles' the 1.5 IRTE reflector at the rim to ensure a distortion free parabola.

This has got nothing to do with my for sale topic, it is a total irrelevance and is more thread trashing.

If topic viewers go away thinking I am selling a sub standard actuator and it has an adverse impact on the sale of goods then so be it.
It does not need your concern or intervention.

In future, can you please refrain from replying to any of my for sale topics.

To any interested buyers:
I am happy to sell the equipment at a lower price excluding an actuator and the v-box if they are not required.
