Hi T_G
on the qbox I can see in green " connected" after the network test. The last update(6-26-09) sorted it at last!
This turned my calculations sending to duolabs or not into a time- break . The costs in money and time don't make It a wise thinking of the sending if it's only a matter of sw.

Now I'm struggling to get Dexter or Busters plugings to make my cccam work. The start of the cam in the panel disappears after pushing OK or exit.Maybe it's my fault or maybe a new pluging version will overcome this inconveniance which I also asked for help in some German forums.

OK - just remember that the early bETA boxes had hardware problems which cannot be solved by software updates.

Can't load latest Busters plugin( radar plugin)with USB stick.I tried with no success.
Please tell me how to do it via FTP or serial. Can't get the softcam panel in blue button. The box is on 6-26-09 filesystem.

The uncompressed folder should it go to root?
Then content of var in var? And that's all or should I do more?

Any help appreciated

if you have unzip the file,you can see the name of the folders.
than you can copy this files in the same folder as unzipped.

restart enigma is easy,you shoul go to settings/system/skin,and then press ok und quit the question with yes.

after restart you can press blue button and should see "softpanel"

I've already copied contents of each unzipped folder to its similar folder BUT I didn't restart enigma the way U explained.I will try and see if I'm lucky .

I tried this way but it didn't work:
C:xxxxxx.no.ip:12000:xxxxxassword no { 0:0:2}

*the last emu from Busters is well set in qboxhd getting the 1.04 panel
*the radar cam well started (having C:string above)and stays started
*skin in system menu restarted
*the qbox has the 10/7/09 filesystem in

should it be cccam version exlusively 2.0.11 or also later versions too?

Any help for this last step would be appreciated

Can you tell us if that version of QBox you've got makes a real difference with the beta ones and if you're satisfied with it.
I am now waiting for the original remote from Spaint to go ahead with it.
My skystar HD2 card+ hadu plugin playing cccam give me much better results and less headache

I'm a long time read of this forum and I've been keeping an eye out for this box for a long time now:-HB and it finally seems to be shipping?

My question is where are people getting them from in the UK??
I've looked at all my usual suppliers of sat gear and can't find any listed as in stock.

Any pointers would be gratefully received.

I wondered much the same thing as the QBOX-HD is on sale in Germany for 429 euros. Is is finally out of the beta stage as far as the FTA use is concerned?

By the way, how user friendly is it? My other half never managed to master a Dreambox, so she really needs something that is as simple to use as a Digibox. To justify spending the cash on a new satellite receiver, I need to convince her that the QBOX-HD can double up as a terrestrial and satellite digital receiver that all the family can use.

Hmmm that's a difficult question. My family knows how to switch channels on a dreambox, that is easy and not that different from a qbox or any otherreceiver. the problem starts when there are cards and sharing involved, cams leys etc. This is something only the "owner" can do - you got to have a bit of an idea.

The qbox is still beta in my opinion, as some of the functions are not working as they should. I reckon it is worth waiting a little longer just to make sure. There are not that many FTA HD channels, but when there are some it works really well, the picture is fantastic. I even watched Arsenal against Celtic just because it was on HD

You can get them in the UK from Hisat, but as T_G says, it may be a retail version but the receiver is still definately a beta product with loads of bugs still to be ironed out.
Picture quality is good but I find that even the latest image is not really stable with the receiver crashing frequently if you change channels to fast.
Some emu's such as mgcamd still not available and some, including myself, have issues with the wi-fi module not connecting and the inbuilt diablo cam is still not functional.

I think it will be at least another 6 months before it is really 'market' ready.

The ultimate solution seems to be a Freesat HD box for family use and a Linux HD box for fun and experimental use. As for the Linux box, I'll think I'll give it a month or so to see which ones are the real frontrunners. I was also tempted by the AzBox, which with versions at 230 and 300 euros seems to offer good specs and performance.

Just a quick update: I've put in the latest image, and I noticed some improvements. But on the other hand there isn't that much more to report - It is fairly straight forward to connect to a cccam server, unfortunately when trying to wath HD channels through that connections the picture breaks up. Normal SD is not a problem, just HD...shame, I hope they sort it out soon.

Apparently the internal diablo will be working soon, it has been announced on the German forum but let's wait and see...

I have put in yesterday the new QboxHD Gigant Image - 060909


That image is so full of plugins and utilities that I did not even have time to really have a go at everything. The standard skin it uses is nice. I have used the updater to download and install cams and keys and plugins and god knows what, but still need time to get it all going.


The really big news is that the internal DIABLO is working with this image - or at least it should

Hi. We all are waiting for LUCA , the qbox expert, to help us getting the box working with this multiple plugins.
Got the new RControl today, having installed newest filesystem+ gigant file...+ radar cam 1.3...
I noticed :
HD channels not stable,wheels turn non stop if button of RC touched twice, delay in audio when zapping,cccam 2.0.11 not working, diablo still inactive even after the key- updating( in plugin ) maybe the underworld 1.0.1 is an old sw ...
Nagra 3 pixels a lot...

Where is LUCA? Please show up! This box needs a kick somewhere . Or not,T_G ?
