T_G, I tried to load the Webcourier image but it fails half way trought, it looks like the same problem I have when trying to upgrade from a Duolabs firware release file. I have tried everyway with the Duolabs file

Zipped and unzipped and neither work.

I would like to put the Webcourier image on my STB to see what it is like.

HD Recording is much better with the new software version recorded a 3 hour transmission last night.

I can't say why you can't load new software, if you have got the latest bootloader you should be able to do it. Are you using the original internal USB or have you replaced it?

Question regarding the recording: Is it USB you are recording or esata? What have you formated the hard drive to?

On ITV HD, I have serious audio drop-out problems with my Kathi using AC3 digital sound, the way I get round it is by using the 'downmix' option, if you watch the game tomorrow with qbox can you let me know what the sound is like using ac3 if you have this option. It works fine on BBC HD.

ITV HD is not as good pic as the chanells which use 1080i but still nice picture but motion blur can be a problem on my lcd tv. I hear plasma is a bit better. What is qbox pic like when showing fast action?

Sorry, I don't use AC3. I noticed some blurring at times, but the last time I watched ITVHD football it was all nice, so....
I believe all these issues will be sorted out in time.
I have an normal LCD HD ready TV, but the picture is very good.

Is anybody using the CrossEPG, is this supposed to give you picture in graphic ?, when I hit he info button on the RC I only get what looks like the normal epg with now and next. The Cross EPG give 7 days.

The perspex Front Panel still looks like a Kit Electronics from Maplins ( Maplins I don't know if you have these in Germany), but I thibnk you know what I mean.

I am looking forward to the Liverpool game tonight and I think it is on ITV-HD this will be my first chance to see ITV-HD with Audio.

Yes indeed , Qbox HD has a very cheap look and the remote actually belongs more to a 25 Euro chinesse receiver , then a 450 Euro top STB .
Duolabs could at least make a front pannel which hides the smart card slots .

Yes in deed it does look a bit cheap, the issue with the remote control also is a bit much, I am using Lidl €10.00 remote control in 'Learned Mode' becuase I hate their remote.

In all fairness to duolabs, it cost an awful lot of moeny to get an injection molding Plug made and you have to have volume sales to justify this. They don't have the demand just yet.

They should design a common enclosure and use this for all of their STB Designs and just change the badge on the front for the next model number.

I have a nastly bit of plastic they supplied that cover the CAM slot, I had a passionHD before and this had a very nice hinged fron cover that hid it. The original Dbox II looked very well maybe they should use a design like that as the company have now gone out of business I think.

Any way at the end of the day these are only cosmetic think and most Hobbyist are more interested in what is going on under the bonnet.d they can then do whatbthey like with the rest of it.

I would prefer if they got what they said the box 'Can Do' right first, sort the HD,Audio,PVR,etc issues out and then with more good reports coming from the user more people will purchase them.

I don't know, I got an all black QboxHD and I think it looks ok. The rubber plug for the CI slot might be not as nice as the Dreambox flap, but I rather keep the plug and not pay another 500 and more...
If anyone still has one of the older type Beta boxes, they look a bit cheap, I agree.

5. Server Download for plugins, settings, skins, updates
6. SAMBA support

2 and 3 are neck and next with two votes a 5 has one. does anybody else look at this Site ?. They must not have given the Italians an opportunity to Vote !!!.

Interesting to see how many people will vote.

How do you get the Embedded Diablo Card work with Underworld Firmware?

This is not a question you can ask Duolabs.

UW185 is now available does it work with the internal Diablo ?, I can put uw185 on an diablo 2.3 CAM and put into the stb and it will see it but what is the point in installing a second card if the stb is supposed to have it already.

The latest Underworld, for the QBox, is version 1.16, you will probably have to update the keys for Digi TV, you have to with the Underworld files for the Diablo light cam, so I assume it's similar.

I found the Emu addon .
Today I've upgraded the latest " File System Update " from the official Dualabs site .
Have you tried to implement the emu panel in the Duolabs official release or we should wait for 3-d part image first ( WebCurier or DVBusters release ) ?

The emu panel works well with official images, no problems at all. The webcourier and the other images are simply an original image with a lot of skins and plugins. Try it out

Have also reboted the Q-box HD , but I couldn't find the access to the panel with the remote control ? Have tried "Blue " button , no luck at all .
Do you start / restart cam through telnet ?

I am not sure what happened there. Make sure that when you FTP the files to the different folders to change the attributes (chmod) to 755 on ALL files. Then reboot and you should see it in the plugin menu.

Again, hard to know what is the matter. Try another cam suchas incubus - I have been using the old incubus 0.88 without crashing for regular viewing on CS
