I am not sure what happened there. Make sure that when you FTP the files to the different folders to change the attributes (chmod) to 755 on ALL files. Then reboot and you should see it in the plugin menu.

I've got it finnaly ( re-installed image again ) and got the Panel under Blue button .
My cards (scandinavian Canal Digital and Viasat ) are detected , but none of the implemented EMU' s decrypts them ! Have tried Mgcamd , CCcam , no way 'O'-red
Which EMu are you guyz using with ITV HD ? And which cardreader ( lower or upper ) ?

Unfortunately I don't use a card reader at all, I am simply using it for CS.
For ITVHD, you don't nee a cam as it is FTA - but you need to fiddle with the lamedb file for it.
Search for ITV HD or ITVHD in this forum, I have witten several times how to sort it out.

I will try to see which cam will activate your card, but I think you need to configure something in the config files for it to work.

This was not announced on their web site not sure if it is real or not.

Rel. 2009.10.09

- This release MUST be used along with the QHU version 25_09_2009
The QHU is used for updating the NOR Flash that contains the Linux kernel.
- Faster boot time (from turning-on to watching a channel). Now it takes ~100 sec
- Enhanced features in e2:
Optimized fast channel selection in the channel list with the right and left keys.
Bug fixing that avoided locking when waking the DVB-S2 tuner up.
- Updated drivers:
Smartcard driver: Generic optimizations
- Fixed several minor bugs in several apps

QBox may be cheaper, but Octagon seems to do his job.
QBoxHD is amost in an early beta stage, and I wonder if it will do all what it should before next year.

tons of hd linux boxes are coming, I expect the DMM 500 HD will sell tons, I dont know much about CS but CCcam seems to be important and DMM boxes run this as both client and server right???????????????

Is qbox runing CCc or similar?

Still no word of DVB T2 specs/tuners for sale.

I think a Coolstream HD twin would be a possibility, Neutrino seems really stable and fast, my Kathi runs E2 nice but it is really quite slow zapping using moving thru the menu. Neutrino seems to go like the clappers.

Is everyone running QBoxHD firmware from flash or pen/HDD drive?

At the moment we use a USB flash drive to upload the image to the box, then it transferes it onot a seperate "internal" usb stick (which is conviniantely positioned so you can pull it out from the outside, this allows me to load different images onto different sticks, all I need to do is turn box off, change sticks and I got another image going).

Stabiklity is getting better and better, but can't say I am 100% happy, there is still work to do. But is getting there

you should be able to store multiple images on one usb stick or hdd, I expect you will get multi-boot feature like Barry Allen some time or just really good image on flash?

Kathi finally has decent image on flash, three years after I got it, big waste of money really. Lucky to get half what I paid for it on fleabay now.

I think you will have a nice box in about six months.

Yeah, I almost bought a Kathrein, just the problem with the diseqc convinced me to wait...but jury is still out on the Qbox, as long as they don't get the basic operation going it will be hard to say. Fingers crossed :)

Nice feature, huh?

Removable Hard Disc Drive Bay for 2.5" or 3.5" S-ATA HDDs (upto 1T:cool:

I think Technomates have ccCam, gonna be a tough battle for sales, I still think that the Qbox has the edge as you can choose which tuners you want to plug in.

<well, we'll see when it is up and running. I was hoping that prices would start to go down more for those kind of receivers.

They are very overpriced, why should an hd tuner/chipset cost so much more than sd?

Big rip-off.

Price war will start next year. I hope DM8000 doesn't sell and they have to slash the cost.

I suspect the main reason is just because HD is new and you can therefore charge a higher market price.

There is also a technical reason in that you need a more powerful processor and more DRAM to decode a higher resolution image. Also maybe the royalties are higher on the technology behind HD.

That said, you can buy dedicated HD boxes for DVB-T reception (using H.264 image coding sent over a normal DVB-T transmission) in France for between 50€ and 100€, so the HD part isn't adding more than 30 or 40 euros to the price of a standard definition DVB receiver.

Humax Freesat Foxsat HD Digital TV Box
£129.97 HD box, quality brand, half price of Linux box, Linux box = big con.

The Chinese DM800 are £215 and I hear that they buy them in for less than £150

Hi,
the qboxhd (got weeks ago from Italy)seems to work fine now using radar 2.0 and cccam.I read that incubus 0.94 is a bit more stable and I would like to try it.
I'm just asking if the config for cccam is still the same as here:

card_server_url_0=cccam://user:password@yourdyndnsaddress.com:12000

any help welcome
