Hi all,

I'm looking to gain access to this channel and after some research, it appears my best bet is through a Tivusat card. I don't really have much experience in cards or CAM, have mainly gone down the FTA route but would like to know if it's possible to get this card working on an Octagon SF8008 receiver? I have a slot for a CA card but not a cam.

Apparently the Gold (HD) version of the Tivùsat card will work using OSCam, which is how you’d get it working on the SF8008. This one supposedly allows Rai 4k to decode but not the other 4k channels.

The newer 4k black card will not work in OSCam and has to be used with the supplied CI+ module (CAM) in a compatible TV or receiver.

Museum, TravelXP and MyZen are the other three UHD channels that are apparently in the package but don’t clear in OSCam.

Hi again, thanks for replying. I don't really watch those channels, so i hadn't noticed. I do have the CI+ module and will do a test!

I will go on the hunt for a gold Tivusat card

Be sure the card have CAID "183E" and not "183D", otherwise it will not clear RAI4K.

At the moment the Technomate 5402 works with the Tivu cam. In the recent past, Canal Digitaal and Polsat NC+ Poland cams also worked on the 5402, but there have been changes, which have rendered it incompatible. So, I think unless you're using a ci+ cam slot receiver, like the Technisat, it would not be a good bet, to use anything but a proper Tivusat box, in case they change any parameters.
