OK.

All set up and have had a good play.

Can't fault the Tablet so far.

Installed Tapatalk, but only allows reading. Assume payment required for a duplex version?

First numpty experience ........... Cancelled my OS update by mistake at about 95%!

Blotty hell, I didn't realise you had to install updates incrementally.

Installed was 4.2.2

Upgraded to 4.3

Now it wants to give me 4.4

All well and good, but it would have been nice just to get the latest in one go.

Takes for ever on my 1Mbps connection!

Battery holding up well, though but.

It won't be long before you drive SWMBO up the wall, having that tablet glued to your face.

If you keep using that tactic you will soon be  begging in the streets.

I have Tapatalk on my droid and I can read, reply, upload files and I presume start threads too and I made no payment, TBH it's a bit fiddly for my liking but it works :)

Well, Battery life is amazing: 14 hours of quite hard use (New toy; Updating: Blah) before I thought it was time to recharge.

Hugely impressive device for the money - and lightning fast.

Numpty Moment: Installed QR Droid on the Tablet >> Looked on my Netbook for some examples to Scan.

All went well, so carried on using the Netbook and spent a few unfruitful moments wondering why it appeared to have frozen as nothing happened when I tapped the Screen ......................... :-lol

Further to comment about Battery, I've absolutely no complaints whatsoever.

Screen is also far better than I anticipated.

No hangs/crashes/other nasties.

Lightning fast.

But the stock Mail app. is pretty poor (That's an Android issue, not a Tablet issue, of course!).

Yes, had a quick look, but have been somewhat sidetracked by Linux Mint 17 the past day or two!

Well, I've been using this Tablet for ten days now and cannot find fault.

The screen is, apparently, the exact one used in the Nexus 2012 Model; The Battery far exceeds my expectations; It has excellent connectivity, with not only USB, but HDMI and SD; And it has a rather natty Stylus.

Stability is impeccable and the casing is robust and relatively attractive, being unadorned with glossy bits, logos etc.

All in all, a fabulous buy: And Curry's still have them at 99 sovs, lest anyone else be persuaded.

Very nice, Tivu! Glad you're happy with the purchase.

I am personally not a tablet fan - I am happy to "make do" with my phone and the laptop. My SWMBO has a Kindle Fire HD and she doesn't use it for anything other than reading - even though it's quite a nice tablet to use.

Maybe one day I'll be persuaded :)

I don't have a Smartphone, just a pre-war steam Mobile, so the Tablet is a nice infill.

An Advent tablet?? Good luck with that one... :-rofl2

Five years later, it's still in daily use.

Somewhat slow compared to today's offerings and most Apps proudly declare they might not be optimised for my device!

But it has its uses alongside my phone and my 10" Fedora-driven Tablet.

I got the other half a Nexus tablet earlier in the year when the Samsung Galaxy unit was 'borrowed' by the daughter. She appears to be happy with it, but I'm not going to ask her directly as the answer could be different.

I'm still on an Apple iPad 2 which stopped updating years ago (9.3.5?), but it has games installed that one cannot get these days.
