I have one of my 4 LNB's (88cm Triax dish) pointed at 19.2E at the moment and in the scan almost all the channels are German . Other satellites that I use are 9E, 13E and 28.2E.

Any other satellites from which I could get Free English channels with / without using another long LNB holder.

Also would I get free channels from 28.5E if it is pointed at 28.2E?

Not really sure what your question is here............ English channels are transmitted from 28.2/28.5 cluster to the UK no other satellites transmit English speaking channels persay, you will however get some films on other satellites in English/American where subtitles are used for the language of destination instead of dubbing, you will also get some Arabic channels transmitting English speaking programs but they are unlikely to be free to air. Nobody however can give you a list of these channels th idea of this being a hobby is that you play around and find them. I suggest you would be better off having a motorised system rather than multi-lnb's to increase overall flexibility

Thanks,

Are the MBC channels (UAE - Badr 4 - MBC package) available in Ireland?

Also on 36E (Eutelsat W7 - South Africa - Multichoice Africa package) there are couple of free English channels listed. Would this be available in Ireland?

If the channels are in a package but says clear, would it free to view?

The MBC package on 26E doesn't have a footprint into northern Europe.

No chance with the Multichoice transponders on 36E for the same reason.

Clear channels as shown in KingofSat are free-to-air.

Is there a way to find what satellites beam to Western Europe (esp. Ireland), written like the Analoguesat's query above?

Experimentation. The only way to know for sure is stick up a dish and see what you can receive. MBC (Badr4) should be easy on a 1.2m dish.

The MBCs should be possible in Ireland, but most probably not on a TD88 unfortunately. Though no harm giving it a go, but stick a black ultra on there at focus (take off the multiblock).. Certainly available in Northern Europe though, I get them pretty strong here, had them on a true 80cm in the past.

I need a freelance installer as I doesnt have a 5+ mtr ladder and a satellite signal checker! So in search for one now. I would definitely give 26E a try.
