My Satellite Setup
Motorised 5400Z Humax
My Location
UK
I have a 1.2 m usals motorised dish and a DM 800 HD box, I would appear to be receiving channels on various Satellites , such as 0.8w , 13.0e , 19.2e , 28.2 e , to name a few ,however I tested 25.5e , 7.0w, 36.0e and could not get anything at all, my friend has said it would need at least a 2.4m dish to capture a signal from these.
I am in the NW of the England and would like to know if there is a list of Satellites that I should be able to receive in my area.
I am a novice so please bear with me.
All help will be appreciated

:confused

You should check out lyngsat.com. This site shows a footprint map for each satellite & satellite beams showing dish size needed to receive signal.

Treat it as a useful guide, as there are some well known inaccuracies in the published footprints.

Thanks for your prompt reply, it will take me some time to check these Satellites out, but your information is pointing me in the right direction

Thanks for your reply, I seem to recall having looked at lyngsat some time ago, although it was nothing to do with this particular thread/post.
