My slow roasted pork joint was a bit disappointing but not a total disaster, however resorted to a slow roasted leg of lamb with rosemary sprigs.

Roasted Garlic is nectar. Just bish-bosh some cloves in their skins, bung them in loosely with the meat and suck out the contents when done. Bliss.

We are also having roast lamb today, but it is the Welsh rack version/carcass and ribs with redcurrant crust. Not much meat for the money unfortunately but the other half wanted it. Tomorrows is however an extravaganza of saddle with a whiskey centre stuffing which looks a lot more substantial, and Sunday is decent lump of beef with a huge bit of hard fat stuck on the side, so dripping to come.

Happy days

Just finished lunch and our pulled pork was absolutely superb. The marinade gave it a lovely sweet and sour flavour.....and there's more than enough leftovers for tomorrow....
