Does anyone have detail on this package ?

Apparently this was launched in June on Hispasat 6 and the footprint should allow reception in the UK on an 80cm dish

Trouble is, I can't find any detail at all. Lyngsat shows nothing

and a couple of installation sites suggest frequencies that are not even in the satellite plan (plus the box should be sold for around £400+)

So, is it a current package, something for the future, or already in the past ?

Ah, found this thread

So, it was running four years back. Again the frequency mentioned - 12548V - is not on 30W.

It still works on my Edision Primo. As a matter of fact, I am watching it right now.
look on the flysat website.

Thanks, can you advise on the frequencies you receive the package on (if it is Hispasat) ?

Understood, though by 'package' I was describing an official Spanish Freesat receiver and card for the services.

Some suppliers mention the ZAS box (Televes) though it's not clear whether it is a one off price, or if the transmission changes parameters then a new card, or complete change of system is required.

As far as I know, official receivers for this are still pretty difficult/expensive to come by.

It used to be that they would only give them out to people in Spain who could prove that they are unable to receive the terrestrial signal. I think nowadays they’re sold in some Spanish hypermarkets though, and you can buy one of the ZAS Combo HD receivers for it through TV Corner for the bargain price of 395€! Retrouvez la TDT Espagnole avec les boitiers TDT SAT

It’s not listed on Lyngsat because it uses a novel transmission system. A normal receiver will lock the frequencies (11222H, 11302H, 12548V, 12631V, etc) but only find data streams. The channels themselves are encapsulated within the data streams. These data streams are then encrypted with BISS.

The official box/card essentially just decrypts the BISS and decapsulates the channels (and presumably only maps the versions of TVE and the regional channel for the region it’s been registered in). The cost is one off for the box and card.

As other have said, it does work on an Edision IP S2 (and others, including the similar Octagon boxes also running Linux OS), as well as various Enigma2 receivers.

The timespan for it existing without encryption/receiver changes is going to be at least another couple of years, and most likely much longer. It was put into doubt when there was talk of a switch to DVB-T2 in Spain by 2022/23, but now they’re keeping the existing DVB-T but with HD MPEG4 only (as in France currently), which shouldn’t require any change to the TDT SAT system.

Isn't there a massive thread on here detailing how to do it on an Enigma2 box using a specific image? These have been there years, multiple frequencies, and I seem to remember 1 was on a neighbouring satellite.

EDIT: They are referred to normally as 'ABERTIS' think the thread may have been removed, as it is essentially a hack.

Yes there was, @MCelliotG got it working with Enigma2 in the SatDreamGR images. I think it got removed as people were just joining the forum to ask on the thread for BISS keys.

Aragón TV using the system was on neighbouring Hylas 33°W, but has now left there and is unencrypted on 30°W in standard DVB-S2 with PLS (for the terrestrial transmitters only, it will no longer work on the official TDT SAT boxes, but will on the Edisions etc!)

Thanks, and yes I was looking for the legitimate (or rather the non hack ) variety for a client since I don't want to deal with any changes after the installation of a dish for Hispasat and a receiver that recognises and decodes the services out of the box.

Not the right section of course, but does TDT operate an iptv service for those that cannot get either satellite or terrestrial (in Spain  ) ?

No, a lot of the channels themselves stream online (TVE, Antena 3, La Sexta, TV3, etc) with some of it available internationally, but there’s no all-inclusive IP service that I know of.

I suppose the best bet would be if the client has contacts in Spain who could get hold of one of the official receivers. I think they’re something like €100-€200 that way, but there may be the “living in an area with no DTT reception” issue.

The French company TV Corner sell the TDTSat receivers for Hispasat reception - not cheap though....

I think that receiver runs the same kind of Linux firmware as the Edision boxes where it is possible to tune the Cellnex (Abertis) TDT channels, so probably! Nobody on here can tell you how though as they're encrypted - I'm sure Google is your friend.

The TV Corner website is wrong on that (it also mentions Nagravision which is wrong) - the streams that contain the channels are encrypted in BISS.

Real Madrid TV HD is on 12671V (PID 8004) though yes.

So that means my receiver will tune the channel but Real Madrid hd will be encrypted and only open if correct biss key present.

You need it to be able to both tune and view the channels.

Yup it got removed as it degenerated into multiple requests for the keys and asking for far too much help.
