Hi all,

Is there a channel editor for TM 5302HD that allows you to add/delete/configure satellites? The one that's available is just good for editing channels - nothing else. It's extremely basic.

My main bug-bear is inability to define DiSEqC 1.2 positions manually anywhere, either through UI or editor.

Maybe there's a converter from 5402 to 5302?

Also, any firmware later than May 2016?

Thanks
CJ

CJ,

As far as I am aware there is no channel editor for *tbn files (Technomate BiNary) that does what you wish for. Also, there is no convertor available that I know of. The guru on this topic is "William-1" but I think that when he creates his channel lists for the TM5302/TM5502 receivers it is all done manually in the receiver then exported.

The last firmware for the TM5302 and the TM5502 are the versions dated 27th May 2016.

If there was a decent channel editor, these two receivers would probably become a lot more popular as they provide accurate frequency and symbol rate detection and have sensitive tuners. Unfortunately, they are blighted by lack of a decent channel editor.

Yes, it's a shame. I am also finding stability issues with it - random freezes, unresponsive remote. Though I haven't updated it to any 'patched' firmware yet.

If there's a format definition of these TBN files, I am sure I can write something to read these.

Is there a source code available for the existing editor?

CJ,

I dont know if the source code is available, the existing editor was released by Technomate so its probably not public. I get the same issues, freezing, cranky blind scanning etc. It seems to get worse after a lot of blind scans so I took the advice from "William-1" and saved the channel list to one of the default lists then did a factory reset. That seems to clear the problems for a while, then they return.
