Try loading the patch again then factory reset & switch the receiver off at the mains for 2 minutes then proceed as before save the channel list in the data base on the receiver before you start loading the patch again then you wont have to reset your other settings,

Follow this menu route:-
Main Menu
System Setting
Factory Reset
Save as Default Channels

Load latest Patch >> Factory reset>>Mains off for 2 min>>Power back on Restore Default channels in the Factory reset menu,
Now give it another try.

hmm, no, that made it Even worse, now it is taking Ages again .. roughly 1 % per min.. to do a blind search again, ...AAARRRGGG ! Nightmare !

can you please tell me why I wont connect to update via internet William ?
" network drive isn't connected " & update fail etc..
cheers rob :)
ps its just threw up 11189 which was OUTside the parameters I set, so still not fixed the crappy blind scan params.

how do I get the TM online menu on the 5502 mate ?

Hi just a thought from memory I think you have to press okay once you have set your perameters before scrolling down to the next thing, ie radio search.
Regards Michael

back to the SAME OP problem.. i do a blind search from 10956 to 11193, and the first TP it finds is 10705 ! i double checked, i had set it right before i hit search.. thing is doing my head in now :(
it seems to completely ignore the range i set.. this of course, makes it pretty unusable..
Just a thought , what are the lnb settings ?

what hardware and software version you running mate..

Tm 5302 is a good rock solid box, just has the 45000 symbol rate problem. You just have to delete a few dud transponders.
wish i could agree but cant .. not yet anyway..
it could WELL be something I'm doing but i doubt it as it has KNOWN issues with the blind scan ranging.
EDIT
sorry assumed you were talking about the 5502 .. ignore my post

On my tm5302 Blind scan

From a picture, press the menu button,
image.jpeg
Then move down to blindscan
image.jpeg
Press ok on the satellite you want example 19.2°E

Move across to the tp range, and enter the freq you want.

image.jpeg

Down to the end range, press ok to finish.

image.jpeg
And press the red button.

Hope this helps you.

Do you have the lnb setting like this:

image.jpeg
Forget the diseqc switch setting, that should be set acording to your setup.

It's your "lnb type" needs to also say universal like the photo above.

yep its EXACTLY the same Chris, I'm doing it right, its a known issue and a flaky box, I'm not happy..
this sort of crap should have been sorted out well before now I'm mean the box was discontinued last week ! its been kicking about for YEARS !

I can only speak from experience, I have 2 Tm5302's, a dr hd d15 (sort of copy of the tm5402)

I love the tm5302's they are a very good box, the Dr Hd D15 is so so, the tm5402 is better.

The enigma 2 box is brilliant, but not for the novice.

The best all rounder I think is the PC way to go.
