After seeing the answers I should have got 4 or 5 of them. I did have Postman Pat for tomorrow but so did everyone else. Poor showing from me, must do better next time

Time to throw the guesses open I think and offer some clues....
(1) Is a really simple one word answer and a much loved character.
(5) I'll admit it's a bit obtuse, but if you think of who resides in Washington D.C. you'll get a massive clue.
(7) The 20,000km refers to a vertical measurement. If you have no navigation and you are in the 'Final Frontier' you are ??....
