But especially tonight - The National Youth Orchestra

Sound and imaging are perfect as always, but tonight they appear to have a far larger number of cameras in the hall.

That young laddie at the Piano is superb ................. he appeared in an earlier "grown-up" Prom two or three weeks ago, too.

The music has always been faultless, the techi stuff of the cameras is new though, and I'm not watching on HD.

I had tuned in tonight, ready for a great evening of sound and banter between, however the BBC has chose to invite Stephen Fry to talk, 25 minutes in and just wishy washy diatribe.

Can someone remind me of his musical background again ?

IPlayer has the programme on for the next 30 days of course, but it is strictly for gushing Fry fans only. The BBC has removed all reference to the other guest on the first night, Ms Witter-Johnson , cellist, composer and I think singer, appropriate credentials to discuss the content with Katie Derham.
