Top Up TV goes retail
Top Up TV is to make its personal video recorder available through the UK retail chain John Lewis. The combined DTT receiver and 160GB hard drive is being priced at £139. An optional subscription to the Top Up TV Anytime video download service is also available and one month’s free trial is included in the price.
The move comes ahead of the new English Premiership season. Top Up TV is selling subscriptions to Setenta Sports, which has secured rights to two of the six available packages, and has maintained its advantage following the announcement of an Ofcom consultation into BSkyB’s DTT pay plans.
