Now on Gibby 1.2.

A decent increase of signal, even on 18738L, though not enough to lock (as we have noted, signal reception differs considerably over 24 hours on these TPs. For my location, best noon onwards. )

The Saorsat's output gain suffered when it was modded, so it has a 20dB inline amp to RX.
Its 'twistable' cap has a slit for a dielectric insert for linear TPs.

You need good eyesight and a low band (9.750GHz) DRO puck from a dead or unused Ku LNB. And something to stick the puck on to where you've removed the original one from the Saorsat LNBF.
I used a tiny piece of double sided adhesive tape. I considered superglue, but I've had no problems using tape (so far it's been sufficient enough.).

Oh, and a diamond drill bit to remove a little of the ceramic from the puck.

With my modded Saorsat LNB. (StreamReader's upper spectral range changed to allow a different LOF in selecting Inverto Ka in Crazyscan)

Not locking 18738L though :(

Iv'e checked it again today and is lower on levels than the day previous
Thanks, I've swapped LNB/feed so can't check but the view of 42E clips the roof and trees which doesn't help.

Hi again, i ve bought from aliexpresw Band A ka band lnb. In Bulgaria what dish size i need for 39E - 42E ka band reception? I have 100cm antenna for 16E and 7E and it works good. In comparison to them how much strong is the 39E 42E ka band signal? Thanks sincerely!

my values are 2.20 m. I think it should be 1.50m to 1.80m. The transponder 18709 could also work with 1.20m. Bulgaria is also in the maximum zone.

So there is no chance for 80cm? For 39E also? And also on enigma2 what should be the oscilator frequency do set up?

No, no chance for 80 cm. You can still try it. Sometimes the footprints are not correct and it works. The oscillator frequency should be on the LNB.

best regards

I will try it on multifeed on 220cm, there must be something locked on signal. Sincere thanks for the vast response!

I tried with this one on multifeed nothing. First i bought the wrong one 18,2 Oscilator, then a friend moded it to 17,2ghz but nothing on 220cm. Perhaps the remode setup is not made correct. First of all is this a LNB for offset or prime focus dish? If it is suitable for offset and the signal is weak it is normal all to be zero quality signal or the second reason wrong modding the original 18,2ghz LNB to 17,2 ghz oscilator freq. I checked both 39E 42E the L R plate is in the LNB, i rotated it but still absolutely nothing on 17,2ghz. What ideas you have? I suppose i have to buy 17,2ghz original after a single test on offset dish.
