Reception of radio Caroline in the car had been wonderful until this morning. Stable reception day and throughout the evening since they upped the power offshore.

This morning, nothing at all outside the house and little else iuntil the end of the street, Turns out the neighbour acroos the road has had a new line activated on the single pole that covers all properties in each direction.

Only strong stations come in on above 720kHz and absolutely zero on 648, being drowned out by a 'buzzing' that sounds like an audio frequency of 200-300Hz.

The following video suggests it is a power supply that is faulty, though how it could be feeding back into the copper lines over some 300m is something I'll have to check further.

This is the complaints procedure recommended by the RSGB, so I will dig out the SDR unit and download Lelantos in the next few days.

I fear it is a losing battle though even if I narrow down the source.
