Virgin secures broadband and mobile football rights
Virgin Media has reached agreement with the Football League to carry action from the Coca-Cola Football League on Virgin’s broadband and mobile phone platforms. The agreement commences with the start of the new season on August 11 and runs for the next two seasons.
It covers the Coca-Cola Championship, League 1 and League 2 – the second, third and fourth tiers of the English domestic game – highlights of Football League matches will be available to watch on-demand for up to one week after transmission.
Financial terms for the agreement have not been disclosed.
