Indeed, among other things, it broadcasts FTA European Championship matches such as: West Ham United VS Rapid Wien now.

You're right, it's kind of surprising, but only up to a point, because we're kind of lucky with Iranians in the diaspora for such free broadcasts. It's actually a campaign to promote bein sport, through Parsa TV,to attract new customers to their platform.
I would like to be wrong, but I don't think this FTA channel will last long(?)

Maybe it is worth promoting cricket by any European provider,be it German, because this sport is not played much on our continent. At least I don't know if there is such a competition between countries or clubs in our European area.
In a way, Europeans are gradually assimilating Anglo-Saxon customs, especially since most private television stations in Europe, in fact around the globe, broadcast Anglo-American films and shows. Many things coming from the island or from the other side of the pond have long passed on our continent through the German "chain".
So I'm not surprised at all. Acculturation is part of the current trend. And I think there is no more power to stop it.You opened the national cage, the birds were gone. Now the borders are for many people in their minds than a physical one.An example is this forum, where enthusiasts from Europe and other parts of the globe meet. Now we are all flying over www ...:)

RTA Sports is/was a legitimate broadcaster, with the rights to broadcast some cricket series & events. Whether this will continue now they're under new management I don't know.

I wouldn't worry about cricket infecting mainland Europe, it isn't even that popular in England these days :(

After the series victory against Australia in 2005, which attracted large FTA audiences, the cricket overlords cashed in by the selling all the rights to pay-TV - it's been in decline ever since. They've tried to improve popularity with a novelty new version of the game, but it's still a shadow if its former self.

It’s not FTA but I know that SportKlub on 16e shows cricket matches between European countries.
