I've thought about VPN a bit in conjunction with viewing geoblocked content, but, SWMBO has recently been spooked by Avast's repeated 'Hide me Now!' pop-ups o the machine she uses for on line banking etc..

So, looking around Secureline doesn't seem to have much to recommend it over other offerings and is often criticised for its pricing.

I saw a recent discussion here concerning PureVPN, and their pricing is better, which is a consideration when thinking about 1 laptop and 2 desktop machines. So, thinking of VPN for security on 2 of those which are general purpose PCs; the third one being the HTPC.

Thoughts please.

I use nordvpn, the vpn is running in my router, and a couple of devices get routed through the vpn.

They also have a windows client, and it works very well.

And the raspberry pi client also works quite well, so I am told.

I managed to grab a 2 yr sub, they may still have their sale on.

Somewhere in England (possibly?)!
Another VPN = Buffered VPN (from an Expert Reviews link that came through today via an Alphr mail)

No idea how good/bad/relatively expensive it actually is, but I thought I'd "throw it into the pot"!

Chris, I know this is a very old post by you, but I was wondering if you're still using NordVPN and how much are your broadband speed's generally affected whilst connected ?

Thanks
