Yes given up on mine for anything useful, put it in the bedroom for Freesat on 28e.
Pass it on to @Lazarus - he'll find a use for it, that old Yorkshire "thrifty person":-rofl2

PS: Glad I sent back the one I got as a Birthday present after using it for a couple of days and definitely not liking it!

Love it. Use it all the time.

And SWMBO especially likes her Italian and French channels in HD.

Best value for money of any rx. I've had - apart from my vintage Foxsats, maybe, which are still going strong.

"Love is Blind!" to all its other "issues" - just don't be too quick to do "anything" which might "upset" it - like being a "bit quick" to hit several r/c buttons because it "might" get confused:-rofl2
(bit like the old - but still "interesting", if absolutely "cringeworthy", Stargate Atlantis episode that we are watching ATM, where an other-galaxy snake oill salesman is attempting to take over Atlantis. Really IS "cringeworthy"!)

:confused I've experienced zero problems with it since the (now resolved) subtitles bug. That's it. Does all we want.

.67 update now online. Solved the issue of no sound with scart connection.

The buttons on the front panel won't work anymore with the new updates (.66 and .67).

.67 solves the bugs with scanning in the Spanish "Abertis" channels on 30W. They all scan in without rebooting now!

It's allowed me to find out that the HEVC versions of La 1 and La 2 on 11222H both display fine in full screen on this receiver!

I can't get them to play properly on a PC because they use a weird form of interlacing (HEVC doesn't technically support interlaced video like H264 and MPEG2 do) where they display as 1920x540p50 super squishy-vision.

Another problem with version .67 of the 'updated' software is that the STB now won't receive the CMM Castilla La Mancha multistream channels on 11499V ... once I reverted to version .62 .. I was able to scan them in again and the front buttons work!

Ah so it solves one problem but causes another!

My dish isn't big enough to receive those multistreams on there anyway so I didn't pick up on that!

I am using a Triax 1.1 m and Quad Ultra Inverto LNB so it comes booming in!

I use a Gilbertini 1.2 m for 5W transalpine beam for the French MS channels but lose them if it rains.

But that is due to the footprint of the 5w sat.

The footprint for 30W-6 where those Spanish multistreams are, should give you the same signal strength signal in Ireland as in Belgium

At least this far west I can receive the 5WB Transalpine beam, western Spain and Portugal cannot at all. Hispasat is fine as my dish is 1.1 m with Inverto Quad ultra black LNB

Sounds great that they are working on the software, I had already given up. However, why did absolutely NO ONE reply to my question about the number of channels one can store? According to the manual and the outside of the box the Primo S2 IP can store 15.000 channels but I never got any further than somewhere between 3000 and 4000 channels. And I own 3 Primo receivers that I bought at three different moments so it's not a matter of a defective sample of this receiver. PLEASE, can anyone tell me if they have that problem too? It really reduces it's possibilities for me. I just tried to add the two Czech/CE channels from Belintersat. The bars show a very strong signal and quality strength but no channels are shown when I do a transponder scan, but also not when I do a blind scan. It's just one example of many.

I never did this before, but I would very much like to invite people who read this to contact me, my email address is satmediaconsult (at) gmail (dot) com - the words between ( ) are of course to avoid spammers, should mean @ in the first and . at the second parenthesis, because I also would like to find out more about the IP section of this receiver. I have about 37 years of experience with DX TV but none where it comes to stuff like IPTV and since Edision refuses to reply to any question and their one piece of paper is not really a complete instruction manual. I'd really like to be able to talk with people who may be able to make me more knowledgeable about this Primo receiver. As such I am quite happy with these receivers but I just lack so much information!!! So please contact me if you please?
