"Long live" the heatwave (such as it is!) - "a bit hotter" would most certainly be better for us "down South".

See shore is close enough to go there to enjoy swimming or just observe the sunset. This evening was one of them. My better half and younger daughter were brave enough (I was not) to step in the water. Actually it is still not so cold as other years at this time. Next week Indian summer is coming with some warm weather conditions.

Just had our first power "outage" of the Season - twelve minutes after I had put the Banana Bread in t'oven.

Off for 90 mins so I had little hope of "rescuing" it - but it actually rose, browned and cooked through as if nowt had 'appened"

Could be a very windy Sunday coming up

There was me wondering if I should move my dish up the pole to clear the trees between 30 east and 50 East. Means it will very exposed and my neighbour with his conservatory would like a straining wire fitted, just in case it comes adrift.

"Storm Alex" has arrived here and it's "wet", and very "loud" at times - and I'm REALLY NOT looking forward to going out in a hour or so for a "Click & Collect" at the local Sainsburys because that'll be from a van in the middle of the car park!
(by comparison, the local TESCO has a small building with an overhead canopy for "Click & Collect" customers' cars whilst the goods are transferred)

According to the charts, this storm is going to be with us for at least four days, much needed rain though.
