is there a link to say which feedhorns are for ku band as i have 2 which i've acquired and not sure if they are for ku band

the picture below is the feedhorns, i have.

there is a number on them 3040661.

the feedhorn on the right in the picture, this must be an older feedhorn as it is different to the left one ?

thanks for reply I did a search on google which said they was but wanted to be sure.

I've not mounted the 1.2 yet as not sure I'll have enough room for it get a good arc, 36" t&ks will make it stick out from wall too much.

Have you considered (if line of sight allows) mounting at ground level in the garden, easy maintenance :D

i wish i could but neighbour has high trees in garden that are over the east part so be no point in garden. west side i can have a dish in garden for 1west to about 24west but would rather just have 1 for the whole.

There is one drawback with the design of the feedholder holding the feed as you can't slide the feedhorn inside the bracket, it's predefined in grooves to slide into.

They both must be ku band, due to the diameter of the circular waveguide. C - band would be a hellava lot larger.

With the feed on right you can renew the weather cover/spider repeller as the plastic trim comes off( on my feed the trim has a small peak on it). on the other the cover is glued on and is harder to replace.

The old CM feed is better designed as you say, they had to sleek production costs when Andrew took over, but performance wise they are the same.

Check the number of holes for attaching the LNB.

Some feeds were made six holes which are for small VSAT terminals. The vast majority of feeds in this business would have four, or eight holes.
