PlusNet is generally known to be good. I've had it at my parents' place since 2003!

Keep us posted on performance.

Until you have an issue.

PlusNet are utterly dreadful at resolving both Technical and Accounting issues.

My stress levels decreased to near zero after getting shut of them.

I have already phoned them. And wish I hadn't.

But this move was all about the price.

As I need to save every penny at the moment, as I have to pay for this roof.

But I'm no longer with them ....

The price was good and it was great when it worked.

But dealing with their Customer Disservice people was a nightmare.

Can't recall if I posted about the never-ending saga of them blithely ignoring their system's failure to assimilate Annual Payment for Line Rental despite me having paid it and them nevertheless repeatedly billing me monthly and threatening to cease my service if I didn't pay up.

No, times change.

Fair weather service.

They even managed to cock-up my ultimate departure because they could not understand that there were other ways of delivering Broadband than via a "Line".

Never again.

Would that be the "Good Honest Broadband from Yorkshire"?

Yep.

I did query the veracity of their TV Advertising, to no particular avail.

I have just seen this option

Could it be worth me adding it? What would the gain to me?

Not unless you have more than one heavy-user in the house.

And, even then, it would depend upon what your main Broadband uses are.

If it's chiefly Web Browsing and E Mail, I shouldn't bother.

In theory, it will mean you are throttled less at peak times, but if you're on an economy drive, I don't see any value for money here.

When I moved to Maidenhead I opted for a business fibre account with Pulse8 as I wanted the prioritised connection (as well as running a business off it). Not sure if it's really much benefit but I was worried that moving from a quiet village into a town I'd get slow downs when the network gets busy after the kids come home from school, etc, that I'd often read about but never experienced, even when I was on cable back at my old place. I haven't had any issues at the new place either and speeds always seem good, but that just may be my ISP or I'm just lucky, or maybe the prioritised connection is doing its job. Who knows...

My ipcameras in Sherborne stream mjpeg back to Yeovil, and the 320bit internet radio is on all day, and night.

I know when the school comes back the line allways drops down to 4mbs.

I am still keeping my eye on my usage and so far I have used 89.67 gb this week, good job it's an unlimited package.

Chris appears to be producer, editor, cameraman, starlet ('fluffer') and courier in his offerings.

You would be paying for a service you could set up yourself with the appropriate hub.
It's a tp-link archer d2.

There is bandwidth control in one of the options. But it wants me to set individual bandwidths.

That's where I get a bit lost.

If everything's working then leave it alone. There's no need to throw extra money at a problem that may not exist.
