Thanks Tesla, for your interesting comments and suggestions.
Unfortunately I have no test equipment to do that sort of thing and in honesty I don't feel I OUGHT to make all that effort to get something that ought to work, work. :-)
I feel the problem lies with Sky only and maybe their design...
Tried that with just one input but not a dicky-bird comes through to the Skybox.
I have given up on getting it to work with the Skybox.
At the moment I am using a 'hybrid' connection. With two direct feeds from the Octo LNB straight to the Skybox. Plus four feeds from the Octo going to...
Having connected the Optima 5x12 Q2 multiswitch up. I am having problems with Sky receiver.
As mentioned, I have an Octo LNB on a large dish for 28.2E satellite reception.
My intention was to use four of the eight universal LNB outs to feed the multiswitch. Having first ascertained that this...
It said the rest of the Octo would be 'going to waste'. I just wondered if that meant they would be disabled (and thus unusable) because of the multiswitch operating on the other four.
I have an Octo LNB for Astra 2 feeding four receivers (dual tuners). I wish to use an Optima MS512 5 x 12 multiswitch to provide additional Astra 2 feed pairs and I read that this box will accept a 'regular' Quad LNB input as well as the Quattro type. What I am asking is, could I use...
I've modified channel list to delete all TP's on two Sats I would never get, then re-inserted the channal data in the Techno and yes, I can now do a blind scan again!
I will remove a lot more TPs this way to make room for future blind scans.
Many thanks for...
Yes I think I did do a reset once and was surprised to find the sats all still tuned in (Diseq 1.2 positions).
And as I said in my first posting, for some weird reason the TM won't let me delete any TP's. If it would I am sure all my problems would be solved as you say there are a...
I use Diseq 1.2 on my two motor dishes. I hate USALs, both unreliable and spoils all the fun. So doing a factory reset would mess this up a bit as I didn't want to have to tune them in again at this point in time.
I was thinking of maybe deleting all channels on each sat and doing a...
I could experiment anyway without saving because I would prefer to rescan all again I think as there may be some TP' s that have come along since anyway.
Fire away if you have any suggestions.
ps. Drove past your big dish today actually :-)
I had this receiver a few months ago and commenced doing blind search on about 15 sats. It went fine, but just trying a sixteenth sat it will no longer work.
It comes up with 'TP memory full' or something.
I have a grand total of about 6500 channels so there must be memory left.
I just got hold of an oldish SAB Explorer PVR SC receiver and the firmware is dated 2006 (IC80v1.05 May 2006).
Does anyone know where I can download the latest firmware for this machine?
