Ku and C Band on a single dish

It's asking a lot for a 1.2 dish to do what your set up is showing. If you do not have elevation control of the dish, which would give you the option to tweek the dish up / down for optimum signal then the next option would be to mount the Cband lnbf at the central focal point and put the Ku...

    17,0° East Amos 17

Here's the results using a Ka Norsat Band C lnb in Horizontal linear. The Promax also shows 20.706 next to it. ** I changed the lnb to Vert pol linear which gave the same dB readings so it looks like it's a Circ pol signal. Unfortunately i do not have a circ poloriser on this lnb unit.

Iv'e had a look in the last half hour but didn't have much luck due also to the high winds blowing the dish about - in fact it's time to crank it down as it's getting stronger

    PAKSAT-1R 38° East C-Band

There's also another big problem trying to receive 38° East C-band in the UK and that is interference from the strong satellite signals at 40° East. A very large reflector of 4mtr plus , having a very narrow beamwidth so as to effectively reduce the interference from 40°E and also with high...
