According to a news item from Mark Jackson (ispreview) BT are developing a service called "SOTAP for analogue" that will provide an analogue phone connection, including voltages, without an exchange line connection.

I'm not using a VPN. It's just an Android 12 phone connected via a USB cable to a PC running linux exactly the same as when it's connected via Wi-Fi. The NAT may be different but there's no VPN. It does seem to be specific to satellites.co.uk with EE. None of the other sites I visit is affected.

I have just run into the same problem testing tethering using an EE SIM from Now Mobile. It looks as though the connection stalls at the "establishing secure connection" stage. The browser status says "waiting for satellites.co.uk" and the indicator says the connection is not secure. A browser...

The Inverto LNBs have a split line on top. I put Sellotape over it to keep the rain out. You may need to dry yours indoors.

They have had notices saying that the SD switch off is 20th October and everybody will need to retune. I assume this means the channels like RAI movie will be HD and they will be rearranging their transponders.

No it changed from 29950 to 29500 in the Primo TP list. When I first had the receiver there were a couple of transponders that everyone could get, but showed no signal in the TP list. 12522 was one of them. Like ozumo said, it was not until I scanned it from the TP list that the signal level...

All I did was edit the symbol rate on the existing entry in the TP list and turn on MTS and the signal appeared immediately

I think there's something wrong with your maths. A 2GB segment of TS from MDR HD lasts typically 18 minutes. The total would be 15GB

It could be 25p. The BBC encodes as 25p on DVB-T/T2 but only when the source material is 25p. The effect seems full time on the France channels. Since these are for distribution not DTH, there is no reason why they should stop, if this is the cause. It could be h.264 level 5 when broadcasts are...

I assumed that it was a legitimate encoding, because the recorded transport stream plays correctly on my 5 year old Samsung TV and on MPV. It doesn't play correctly on the Primo media player.

Does anyone know what has changed with the encoding of the France 2,3,4 channels on 5W? The pictures are broken up but, if I record them, MPV will decode and display them properly.

To lock up the Edision Primo: Start a recording then press "media" on the remote control or select "audio" on the remote control and try to change the audio stream. The second case is understandable because a useful feature is that the Primo sets the current output audio stream as the default...
