I'm trying to remove the triangular metal plate which attaches to the top of the motor axis on a SMR1224.
I've removed a small screw-head bolt from 1, removed another small bolt with an allen key from 2, and removed a nut from 3. But the triangular plate is still firmly attached, with no...
Is it possible to use the 900-2100MHz coverage of a satellite spectrum analyzer to find the best location for a 3G signal in a very weak reception area? Have the choice of a Satlook Digital NIT or a DrHD1000.
Dr Dish/Christian Mass conducted a test with a 13M dish in Germany, and was unsuccessful, so I wouldn't be betting much on a 2M dish in Bulgaria

Sorry for bumping this thread again, but I was wondering how the scan rate on the Satlook Micro HD compares to the Satlook Digital? Is it the same on the Micro or slower?
One problem in particular I have with the NIT is how slow/poor it is at locking weaker digital channels (even when the same channels can be viewed artefact free on a sat receiver) and therefore sometimes it can be difficult to get a BER reading for weaker channels.
Are the newer Emitor...
Currently use a Satlook Digital NIT, but looking for something more up to date. Is there any similar meter (under £1000) which has a realtime spectrum analyzer comparable to the Emitor range of meters?
I've used a Trimax in the past, the spectrum scan is quite slow in comparison.
Unfortunately, rain fade is an issue, especially at Ka-band frequencies. This is backed up both by the physics and personal experience having monitored the Saorsat transmssions since the middle of last year.
Are the signal strength levels from the F15 reliable? The size of the signal...
The Satbeams footprints don't quite match the Eutelsat published footprints. For example, the Satbeams Irish Purple spot is somewhat further south than the Eutelsat corresponding footprint.
It would be interesting to see spectrum shot from someone in North East Scotland to confirm what frequencies are being used on the Scottish Purple beam. I think it unlikely you'd find anything being output on 20185MHz.
If you click around on the Ka-sat finder, the Irish purple footprint is...
I'd be inclined to mount the Ka-LNBF on prime focus once more and scan again before settling for the jamming theory. 4dB is likely to be borderline in terms of signal lock.
You have a source to back this 50% up?
There are no plans for any pay services on DTT in Ireland in the medium or long term.
You still haven't explained how the use of Saorview receivers and soft encyption is of any relevance to those people who can't receive DTT.
I'm already receiving the...
You go into advanced configuration in the LNB setup like the attached photo and setup a User Defined LNB with custom LO.
The committed diseqc command 'AA' corresponds to Port 1 on a switch.
That's only your opinion. Do you reckon they'd prefer to hand over €264 every year instead to Sky? If they already have a 80/90cm dish, then they don't need a new dish either.
Do you not understand the difference between DTT and Satellite? There are no rights issues on DTT. There are rights...
