Black Hole 3.09 has now been released, with the image now being able to scan in Multistream channels.
I have read of a few owners, who have been upset that VU+ receivers couldn't work with the Multistream channels, where cheaper receivers could, and it looks like VU+ have finally got it working.

The latest Black Hole 3.09 image fixes the Multistream problems with the other VU+ 4K receivers.
Black Hole is based on the official VU+ images.

Now i have seen - thank you
  • Support MIS with 45308X DVB-S2X Tuner (Ultimo4K, Duo4K, Uno4K SE, Uno4K)
  • Various background updates, tweaks and bug fixes.
  • Support DVB-C in Dual MTSIF DVB-T2 tuner (Ultimo4K, Duo4K, Uno4K SE, Uno4K)
** *Limitation : TS is broken when both tuners are in use, if one tuner is configured as DVB-C and the other is configured as DVB-T2.

Beware of the models.
The VU+Zero4K always supports Multistream + PLS.

The new tuner with chip 45308 are DVB-S2X, launched on the market in Anga2018 only support Multistream.
With this week's VU+ driver update, they now support Multistream + PLS.
What receivers can mount these tuner?
VU+Uno4K, VU+Uno4K SE, VU+Ultimo4K and VU+DUO4K

The old tuner with chip 45208 are DVB-S2 do not support Multistream and this driver improvement does not affect them, the board is the same, but with the old chip.

Only the blind search in these receivers needs to work, pending since 3 years to be happy.:N

PS:In the VU+zero4K does not work well blind search, has an error in the driver, find the tp's / frequencies, but look bad channels in high band, pending from the first day.

-------------

Good Morning.
I have an Octagón SF 8008 receiver and an Edision OS Mio.
In your opinion is the VU + Zero receiver better for multistream reception?
The smart card (xcrypt) of the VU + Zero allows you to read the smart card tivusat?
Thank you

There are two versions, fo the VU+ Zero, the older, original, VU+ Zero, which was mainly produced as a second receiver, and the newer VU+ Zero 4K.

Personally I would stay away from any Vu+ receiver even if they offered me one for free or even pay me to use...

I was referring to the Vu + Zero 4K

MCelliotG prefers the Edision OS Mio 4K receiver, and then I think the Octagón SF 8008 receiver.

The VU+ Zero can't do multistream, or much else, only the VU+ 4K models can.

Is the Vu + Zero 4K better than the Edision OS Mio 4K or O Octagon SF 8008?
Does the slot for the smart card read the smart from tivusat?
Thank you
