You know your stuff, ozumo. I did that odd sounding plan of yours and my box did indeed find Bloomberg (and 2 others). Although I saved the search result, I couldn't find a way to actually watch the channel. Don't suppose that matters, though. I may get another LNB or I may not (Bloomberg's not important). Thanks again for all the help I've had here.

The Bloomberg you just scanned in should be at the very bottom of the non-Freesat channel list. The other option would be to delete all channels in non-Freesat mode and then only scan the Bloomberg transponder.

Was the signal quality at a good level? It's still possible to scan in channel names even if the signal quality isn't enough to produce pictures.

Somewhere in England (possibly?)!
If that LNB is not bringing a channel like Bloomberg, then it is likely to be faulty in at least 1 respect - so it may be faulty in other areas and thus, personally, I would want to replace it anyway.

Yes, ozumo, Bloomberg's at the end of the non-Freesat mode list. It won't play as my LNB is back in it's proper position but I won't move it again - I remember seeing Strength 100% and Quality 60% when doing that weird scan. When I was testing this transponder with the LNB in normal position the search result was absolutely nothing.

You're selling me on a new LNB, jeallen01 but I'm wary, now. Should it be 'High Gain'? How to tell if it's 4G protected (this isn't mentioned on the Amazon LNB's I've just skimmed through)? Anyone here have a recommendation? My continued thanks.

Inverto Twin Universal Home Pro LNB IDLH TWL410-HMPRO-OPN mentions 4G on Amazon. I wouldn't worry about 'High Gain', especially with a short cable run & strong signals.

Thanks, ozumo. I take it you're not concerned that the above Inverto will have the same problems that the Black Ultras gave us?

The Home Pro is a much newer and different design to the Black Ultra, so I wouldn't expect it to have the same problem. The joy of Amazon is that you can send it back within 30 days if it doesn't perform as expected :)

That's a new LNB fitted - same brand, different model - and all channels including Bloomberg and Daystar are fine. Once again, thanks to you all for the help I've had.

I remember when I was first getting a dish, I thought about a motorised one in order to watch all the (hopefully) wonderful foreign channels. I decided not to go down that road and I'm glad I didn't. I now have a Firestick and it's absolutely amazing. With the right apk installed, I can visit virtually any country in the world. But for proper telly watching, you can't beat Freesat and Freeview.

All the best, guys.

I am sad you did not go for motorised system but it’s personal choice between hobby and convenience
