Hello,
I have installed two LNBs on the OMT from the Gilat LNB. Band A and Band D. I can receive all four polarities with the polar converter mounted in between. If you keep the correct distance from LNB to OMT, there are no losses.

best regard and a Happy New Year

There's a plastic cap over it. But it could also be built into a plastic pipe and the connections would have to be sealed.

This is not a problem.

I continued with the KA Gilat LNBs. With a reed relay I switch from KA band A to KA band B. With the servo control from Pololu this is possible via the output option. There are zero volts in front of the middle and 4.8 volts above the middle. So I can switch and turn everything with one control. When everything is ready, all 4 KA Band areas are mounted on a platform and there is linear and circular reception.

best regards

Hi,

I have now revised and optimized the complete module. The dual band LNB works great. Now the one for areas C and D is made and then combined on one module. Four bands on one unit, linear and circular.:)

Hello,
something should be considered when converting the LNBs. If you switch to the Ka range 18,200-19,200 at 27,000MHz, the filter is heavily damped in the lower range. This attenuation can be increased again by inserting dielectric material over the filter. You have to try the length and the exact position. I always do it with the noise in the spectrum of my measuring device.
The MER of the ITV stations is even better than before.

best regards

I am currently in the process of building a KA-band LNB for areas C and D. The principle is the same as before.

The first tests are done. If you compare the 21054 and 21075 in both bands, you cannot see any differences in MER.

best regards
