Good afternoon from a warm but overcast Mullion Cove.
Alanna and I have just spent four days replacing the stand off brackets for the satellite dishes mast.
There were three in all, but the top one was custom made.
I have had the new ones galvanised.
The old brackets which are 550 I think were good and strong but the SSS powder coating is useless in sea air.
I had given them an additional coat of roofing gunk, but the water still got through.
On the plate of one as pictured, I scrapped off the gunk and what little was left of the powder coating.
I then gave it a quick rub with a file and wire brush no more than a few minutes.
This is to show that there is good metal there.
I would imagine that there is rust all over both brackets under the black coating.
£139 including carriage for the two, they are £224.95 inc carriage from SSS.
You do get clamps from them as well.
I will include the old clamps if you wish, they also require de-rusting.
I have allowed £40 for carriage by Parcelforse, but if it is less I will refund the difference : )
I shall leave then on here for a week, then add them to eBay as well.
