Noticed the box puts BBC 1 West at the front in the non-freesat search, so tried a Glastonbury postcode.
And............. Non valid postcode again:-saw:-saw

Is it any consolation that you've managed to get further than I could when you managed to update the loader?
Think that is because I started off trying to fix the problem with a factory reset, may help you out too!

Time to think once more ( not again! ) outside the box! Where do the boxes hide their postcode lookup tables?

OK Back on topic.
Where does the Foxsat hide it´s postcode data. Cannot believe I´ve found a stick, re formatted it, got it to work, reloaded the loader and the software, just to be told, " postcode not valid " , FFS ( OH FLIP ) what else can be done?

AFAIK it does not store the data but merely downloads it as required from their home transponder.

ok, outside of the outside of the box is " Humax ", figure it´s time to ask the ultimate question. ( I know the answer was 42 and it was wrong ) They must know how to fix the problem??????????????????

Any idea what / which transponder ( not sure which is grammatically correct ) that would be?

Actually, I´m sure which is correct, but not sure others would know what I was on abouto_O

11426H 27500 2/3 the tp with the Freesat data.

Try parking the receiver on that frequency overnight

Jokes aside, most Freesat boxes update in standby at approx 03:00 CET, so I´ve left it on standby tonight to see what happens.
( Other than Hurricanes in Hertford, Hereford and Hampshire ) all should be ok!

Left the box in standby overnight. Turned is back on just now and tried a Freesat scan. This time it accepted the post code and
SUCCESS! Now have full Freesat line up including all HD options

:-congrats

It's helpful to remember the Freesat data feed when using a PC card because it gives an instant EPG update. It seems to work with some set top boxes but not others.

It's working now so long may it work!

Is 11426H marginal on your receiver Brian - FS boxes wont accept postcodes if they cant get a decent home tp signal.

Never had a problem with the Sagemcom which is on all the time. The Foxsat is a " help a friend out " job.
Meter is in the car, but the VU can see 11426H at 10.4 dB, so should not cause problems.

Already watching them on the VU, until Freesat catches up:D
