Anyone here receiving Nilesat ?

But to what extent depends upon Dish size and location.

I see your Dish size in your Profile, but not your location ........................


eg Your 1.2m should, if carefully aligned and with a decent LNB, be able to pull in some Vertical Transponders subject to you where in UK you are - If, indeed, you are in UK.

Location is often crucial in answering/advising re. Satellite issues: We don't want your address, or even your Postcode, but a Town or County would help!

Good grief no - you need a 1.2m in the southern part of England.
If you want the H polarity channel on Nilesat 101/102 you probably need something around 3m in your location - and if you need the N201 channels forget it

We in England can usefully use a 1.1/1.2m dish for some Vertical TPs, but something well in excess of 1.8m is required for horizontals even here.

You are even further west and so way out of footprint.

Wouldnt surprise me - the Egyptian government has been trying to get Nilesat to discontinue Libya TV transmissions for weeks.

Al Jamahiriya? Still up and running on 12054,V,27500



There is also a new channel named "AL HIDAYA" with exactly the same program as Al Jamahiriya sat on 11766,H,27500. No sign of Jamahiriya Satellite Channel on the same transponder...

Just saw the thread now...

Look on Freq 12054 there is ''Al - SHABABIYAH' and on 11766 there is ''Libya al SHABABIYAH' plus AL-Jamahirya but I could not find ''AL-HIDAYA'' on the 11766. At the mom all three channels are showing the same Program.
