In Helsinki, Finland, 1.8m dish, tested with a Pace 2600C1 and a Sky DRX595. No Astra 1N signals, no lock.

(The dish is optimised for Astra 2D verticals should should be pretty well aligned)

In fact, my FoxSat reports a 100% signal strength and 100% signal quality.

took my sky box and a 1 meter dish and tried 11126 v 22000 and 2/3 and it didn't find anything.
is hd and mepg 4??
probably the normal sky box will not pick this up????
is this encrypted??

hello,
looked at lynsat
then i got my sky box to lock onto 10.964 H all the tv 5 came in no problem.
then we went to 11,053 H itv plus 1 was there and it works no problem.
length of cable 10 meter dish 1 meter diamater.
lnb nothing special.
other transponders measure at 60 db on the stronger sat these come in at 50 to 53 bd.
i don't have a hd mpeg 4 to check anything out so if this is the new sat its comming here in naples no problem

Here in Potenza (Basilicata, Southern Italy) I receive H10964 and 11053H but 11127V with a locally made 1.50m prime focus antenna. I receive 11127V with Prodelin 3.4m.

Thats good news for Italian hobbyists - especially as you will get all the currently out of range Astra 2D stuff moving over to 1N in the next year or so.

The BBC can't encrypt, Freesat boxes are FTA only.

I'd also like to know when the switch over is as it'll mean we loose the BBC in Finland then, but I don't think SES will be willing to share that info just yet.

• Copenhagen Denmark, 1.5º, 1.8m, works easy
• Potenza Italy, 1.7º, 1.5m, works on some transponders
• Malta, 2.0º, 1.2m, 3% SNR above lockable
• Krakow Poland, 2.0º, 1.8m, works
• Riga Latvia, 2.5º, 1.8m doesn't work
• Helsinki Finland, 2.7º, 1.8m doesn't work
• Kiev Ukraine, 3.1º, 1.1m doesn't work

Facinating - looks like around 2.3 deg off axis is the cut off on dishes up to 1.8m for north round to south east (from a nominal point in north western Europe - say Birmingham for arguments sake).

Well I based these calculations on the beam centre being Birmingham but maybe it has been orintated a bit further west to limit overspill into Europe.
