Is it possible for me to receive Fox Sports( UK Premier League) out on Crete? If yes what set up would I need?

Hi Brillo77. I'm assuming you're referring to the Italian Fox Sports and not the Dutch version. All you'll need is a 60cm dish with a Sky Italia receiver and card. If memory serves me right, you can pick an hd box and card with 12 months subscription up for about £350-£400.

Also look at getting the full suite of aljazeera sports channels on 7west or 26east.

They now have the rights to show epl in the Middle East area.

It should be an easy catch on a 80cm dish for you.

well as the op is in the footprint for 7w/26e they might as well get aljazeera sport.

i certainly would get that option if it was available to me, tivu are you able to get a signal on the tps for aljazeera on your 1.1m dish ?

I see, going to have to test my 1.2m on the ground @ 7.3west to see if its receivable for me, it's still in the shed.

I think some of the variable results I get from 7W are due to Summer tree growth, so hopefully your 1.2 will get solid results with a clear LoS.

I am looking into the Al Jazeera option as I have looked at the footprint of the NileSat satellite and it looks good for me here, I now have a 1.70m (unmotorised) dish. I have a Atom 9000 satellite receiver- never used it, are these any good or should I be looking for a newer model?

Its no good for Al Jazeera - from the specs theres no card reader hardware inside it!

Just been watching AJ Sports HD6 here in the midlands. The channel has English commentary and English presenters, well impressed with the channels to say the least. Good signal here on a 1m Triax.
