I recently added a Technisat SkyStar 2 TV PCI card into the PC and it works fine when directly connected to the LNB feed, but I can't get it to work when shared with the DB.
I tried one of these splitters from Maplin
http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?...rce=14&doy=6m1
but it doesn't work. Polarity is locked to whatever the DB is on.
Anyone else had this problem, and could maybe suggest a suitable splitter?
Thanks

Yeah I tried an old A/B switch that I used to use in the analog days where I was feeding 2 dishes into one receiver, I thought this switch would just work the other way round - one dish into 2 receivers - but that doesn't work either. I checked it with a meter and it switched as expected, but doesn't work at all when hooked up, maybe it doesn't like passing the 12v.
I will have to go to a proper satellite shop and see what they suggest.
Dual LNB would be ok except there is to much agg in laying an extra cable.
Thanks.

An A+B switch should work, have used one in the past, have you checked the voltages?

Hi !

The best way the last years to "share" Lnb's is using "Quattro" heads with four lines to a Quattro switch that can have from 4 to 16 and more outlets. I share all my LNB's this way using tree pc cards and tree standalone sat tuners ! But I have just seen a new solution from spaun.de. They have new switces that shares regular single output universal LNB's . Look at their site !
