Hello. I'm preparing for the Laminas 1.8m project, which will be powered by a Diqec motor on a modified motor structure with a balunsed arm. Combined with a stick motor to use the antenna elevation change. Once the modified structure or prototype remains a secret until I start assembling. 3 motor there will also be a Diqec C which will drive the revolver system with ku-c and cross polarization Lnb. Now I am thinking how to get the 2 diqec motors to function in the configuration in the receiver. There should be double positions in the game-, ku-c band. Does anyone have any ideas .The clutches are not a problem - but I will have to test and then I will see how successful it will be. So far I have not found a system that would work as I imagined. Any idea is welcome.

There's not much to explain. I'm studying how to configure 2 motor drivers to the system. That is, motor 1 rotates the complete system. Motor 2 would rotate the revolver system. I don't know if anyone has tried something similar.

Dreambox1959 already has the control for it, just talk to him if he builds a JPC positioner for you, but you can also build it yourself if you are familiar with it, I built mine myself and only ordered the circuit boards from dreambox1959.
It can be used to control 4 motors, 1xazimuth, 1x elevation, 1xLNB rotor, 1xLNB skew, there is currently nothing better and there will be nothing better :Y

Now I am thinking how to get the 2 diqec motors to function in the configuration in the receiver.

Firstly, there is the question of power to the diseqc motors. I guess most receivers cannot supply enough current to operate two diseqc motors simultanuously. What were your plans for that?

Secondly, maybe you could have one diseqc GotoPos## command for every LNB/orbital position combination. Though I'm not sure if you can have the same motor position (for the LNB-revolver), stored in the motor for several orbital positions; never tested that.

I believe @Trust used a separate receiver for rotating his revolver-LNBs, which he somehow operated with diseqc 1.0 or 1.1 commands from his receiver.
I have sort of a recollection, that there existed diseqc 1.0 command to diseqc 1.2 command converters; a thing like that would be practical as well.

Ok, I will post the first couple of pictures of the project. A picture of the completed prototype which will be driven by a diqec motor. The arm itself will be balanced and with the same arm the rod motor will rotate, the purpose of which is to change the elevation of the antenna as needed for fine tuning. The revolver itself will of course be on the arm of the cruiser. Later, when I build the new tower, there will be more pictures and a video of how the system rotates. The method is similar to the way I put the prototype and gibertini 150 here on the forum, which has been working as it should for 2 years.
Here are the first pictures of tests with the Gibrtini 125 antenna. The kartom is acting like a small stick motor in life size.
That you have a rough idea of what I intend to do.

I did something SIMILAR with my CM120 (click on similar). Diseqc motor drives antenna and another motor (taken from FIBO dish) rotates LNBs.

Nicely done. I like it. Do you have any more pictures. What does the 2 motor look like which turns the Lnb

hello Beli1910
everything is possible. but first a few questions:
- a diseqc motor for the azimuth on a laminas 180, isn't that a bit too fragile?
- what engine do you use?
- for the elevation a simple cylinder without pulse will force you to adjust the position at each change of sat position.
- why not use (or build) a polar mount? like this one .

Hello Mr. dreambox1959. Let me give you a quick answer. My challenge is to make a system with diqec motors. I like diqec motors - their simplicity and above all they are not loud. I have the original polarmount from the antenna which you can find here on the forum in the ads. I made the back of the antenna myself with an adapter plate and adapted it to fit the prototype which will be driven by a diqec motor. I sold all the 36, 24, 18 stick motors, and sold new superjack smr 1224 el 1 month ago . because I'm just not a fan of them - they are too loud for me personally. I kept the only 12 stick motor for antenna elevation. The construction for the motor that will rotate the system is made in such a way that the motor itself does not suffer any force, except for the rotation of the antenna, which rotates without problems from 90E - to 61w or more. The antenna itself will be protected from wind blows, so this is not a problem either. .I have a gibertini 150 on the first prototype and it has been working without problems for more than 2 years. I am just collecting information for once, has anyone tried to make a system that works with 2 diqec motors. I have seen your work with positioners and I can only say - every kudos to you - impressive work by a professional.

I am French and I have spoken technical English all my life but I still make mistakes, so I get help from Deepl or google translate.
for your project, I see an adaptation of my current positioner:
-1 we recover the diseqc command coming from the receiver (n°sat + switch input).
-2 I put 2 output control cards (1 lnb changer- 2 azimuth motor control) + mechanical polarotor output (for corotor)
-3 on the azimuth motor output (supplied with 18V) I send USALS commands which allow the desired position to be defined and displayed.
-4 on the lnb changer output I also send USALS commands but with a small divider by 2 card I made, you can manage from -160° to +160°.
the positioner would have an 18V power supply and the cable that goes to the LNB and switch would not go through the motor, the two motors would have their own cables
-5 I don't know which motor for elevation?

But the whole system will be driven by a diqec motor Amiko. I also have others available. You can see the rest in the pictures.

Yes, I think 10 will be enough. To move a 16kg crossbar. Otherwise, I can get 12, but the principle is the same.
Anyway, I'll have to set limits for a small stick motor - more than 5 cm of movement is not needed

on most polar mounts the elevation cylinder replaces the original threaded rod, but it is placed in such a way that the stroke is very short.
If you can create your mount, you must increase the distance between anchor points for more precision.
in your example of a travel of 5cm or 2 inches, the cylinder screw will make 2x8 turns or 16 turns with perhaps 48 pulses per inch, it is really very little!!
the 36V motor can be run at 18V so that it moves slowly.
I spent a lot of time adjusting my polar axis and declination as well as the South direction on my polar mount and I never touch the elevation.
