Hi all just wondering can a Linux box stream live tv to a pc cheers

Gibertini 1.25m motorised dish driven by the AD3000, with either Inverto BU Quad or Norsat / XMW Ka LNBs . SMW 1.05m + 3 other dishes. Speccy: Promax HD Ranger+

Yes, with an Ethernet connection to Videolan (VLC) on your PC.

Can do if you have a WiFi connection between Linux box and PC, but I wouldn't bother, the data rate will be too slow for consistent streaming of video.

Don't let me put you off trying with a WiFi connection - I found it to be usually OK with normal SD video, but I found HD content used to freeze sometimes.

Wifi is fine for SD but not HD. Very handy feature.

You can stream over the net but it's not very reliable, even with my mate's superfast Virgin upload speed :(
