I wonder how much they'll cost?

More to the point - when will they get an airing on TV?

Now hows this for FANTASTIC news?????

A number of early episodes of Doctor Who, which were believed to have been permanently lost, have been returned to the BBC.

BBC Worldwide is expected to confirm the find at a press screening in London later this week.

Hands are fit to burst into flames from rubbing them together with glee.

Full marks to the Beeb for managing the story and ramping up the interest.

Ive really been enjoying the old Dr Who episodes over the last few weekends. Even the dodgy old B&W episodes like The Aztecs.

However my era is the late 70's & 80s, lathough its slightly alrming to see how the companions have aged over 25-30 years!

I would probably mark my main viewing time with Jon Pertwee, partly as a result of two storylines, The Sea Devils and the Welsh mine maggots, though I remember the outstanding acting of Patrick Troughton in many of his appearances.

I'm a bit annoyed that Peter Cushing isn't in the list above for viewings as his films are excellent, in particular the dalek spaceship. They were the first time daleks were portrayed in anything but monochrome.

And a new trailer for the 50th show released today....looked good, and looks like a bit of insight into the doctors origins, if the rumours about what John Hurt is are true

If you watched the Day of the Doctor trailer on Children in Need last night did you notice the Cybermen in the Raft of the Medusa painting behind the fez?

Heres a crop from the You Tube film

The "webisode" was great, with McGann making an appearance...into "the War Doctor"...

Watched it and seems to confirm the rumours of the 8.5 Doctor are true. And it's great to see Paul McGann playing the Doctor again.

It's running on the iPlayer at the moment if you've missed it.

Another mention of the Doctor becoming a woman, perhaps the BBC are getting people ready for the first female doctor.
It has been mentioned, in previous episodes, that timelords can switch between male, and female, the episode I remember it being mentioned was The Doctor's Wife.
