Modify / Pre-Compile DM800 HD Images

Hi,

Im trying to find out how I can edit an exisiting DM800 Image either before its loaded onto a dreambox or pre-setup / edit the image once loaded onto a dreambox and then backup the image so that others can use my image...

For example, If I would like to Pre Install / Setup CCCam & Channel Bouqets & Possibly some other Plugins and then re-package / backup so that others can use this image?

I have tried to setup an image and then back it up using FlashBackup 1:1, However When I load the image onto one of the other dreamboxes ( exact same model, version, bootloader etc. ) I get the CA Error and have to use DreamUP / Serial Cable to Reload.

I used to create an Image on a DM500 and backup the image via SSH and was always able to load it onto another DM500 without issues.

Any help on this would be highly appreciated.

My guess is Topper is correct in thinking you just want to make a quick buck but it looks like you are not smart enough.

But if you really want to compile images then google open pli or open blackhole images and you can compile with what ever you want including how to compile a complete image from scratch.

Maybe, but not necesarily. I make a backup of my image every couple of weeks. It makes a duplicate of everything, tuner setup, channel list, softcam, extensions, the lot. That way if anything goes wrong I just pop in the USB memory and reflash the box with my last known working version.

I see where your coming from Topper, however this is not my intention.
I have several dreamboxes myself and mainly looking for a way to duplicate my setup accross each one.
I also would like to give back to the community to create easy to use, pre-compiled images (however I certainly would not pre-compile with any CS info, I dont fancy sharing a cell with someone s_x starved and double my size!) lol

There are plugins which can be downloaded direct to the box that will do what the OP wants to do.

It will make the backup nfi file and store it on your harddrive/usb stick

I'm using a VIX image on my receiver and that feature is built in.
