...or alternately he could sleep in a wet suit with snorkel and mask...sort of a whole body condom...

That would be the defacto nightwear in any other circumstance, luckily I'm never short of foil.

We have a ton of mosquitoes here, I just smear on a liberal amount of bear grease, it keeps them and a whole lot of other things away, things like salesmen, bill collectors, those religious door to door bible thumpers, girl scouts, wasps, fly's, and anything else with a nose.

Put it on thick enough and it will work as a good Sun block.

Just use an desk fun, to cover all your body by air stream

mosquito is very light, so it's not possible to manipulate the air turbulence

if mosquito insists, just increase the fun speed

If the fan wont go fast enough for a persistent little bugger try this :D

Will only use the fan if I hear a buzzing sound in my ears.

But won't using a fan just replace one buzzing sound with another, have you considered you may have tinnitus, I know my dad did for years and years

The fan discussion has reminded me of what Koreans think of electric fans...

No. I bought a fan last summer which has a DC motor and it is very quite and has speed control going from 1 to 20
Usually fans have only 3 speeds control.

I think I have finally found a good solution to the mosquitoes problem.
Usually I don't have lots of mosquitoes getting into my apartment, but one or two buzzing in my ear can ruin my night sleep.
A friend recommended to buy a sticky mosquitoes repellent patch. She said it is very effective for children and that lots of mothers are using them now with success.
So I bought a packet from a local pharmacy. It has 18 patches (3x6) on sealed three sheets.
The good thing about it is that I don't need to stick the patch on my body but stick them on a nearby furniture.
The smell as far as I can tell is mainly citronella, which I can't stand myself.
I put it to the test last night when an intruder was buzzing in my ear just after I went to bed, so I stuck a patch on a nearby chair and went to sleep again. I didn't hear any buzzing after that.
Here is an example. Not the same as I used but you get the picture.

I have tried this gadget but it didn't catch any mosquitoes and the blue light didn't help me to sleep because I need total darkness.
Yes I have had neons and LEDs lit in my room for years green orange or red, but my impulsive purchase of an electrical double socket with USB ports means I have a blue light shining at me all the time, and yes it is really annoying and is even lit even when not charging...bad buy

I have a lot of experience with this, I used to live in places where it was a nightmare.

The trick is to leave it on for the whole time when you are not in the room, even at day. At night I put it it in the other room. Mine definitely kills all flying shits- see picture. You were looking for a non-chemical solution, this is it. Put mosquito nets on your windows, and have a few of those zappers on in your rooms at night. And if you have problems sleeping with lights, then maybe you should use one of those eve covers like they have in air planes. It's either that or mosquito humming in your ears...

You have to try to figure out where do the mosquitoes come into your room from? Are you sleeping with an open window? If yes, put a net on. If not, find out where they come from. If you occasionally have an mosquito enter the house, you can get them with the zapper.

Another solution would be to get a roommate that the mosquitoes like better then you.
